Styling Outerwear with Ageless Style
It's the third Thursday of the month and time for another ageless style challenge. This month Amy picked Outerwear. Living in New England I have lots and lots of choices for outerwear. I have a lot of winter coats with full bins of hats, mittens, ear muffs, head wraps, scarves and more.
Most of my coats have shown up on the blog at least once or twice. The ones I reach for most often are my blue fur lined hood puffer coat from LL Bean.
This black and gray plaid that I received in one of my first ever Stitch Fix boxes.
This maroon pea coat I got in another early Stitch Fix box.
My fur trimmed poncho is what I typically reach for when getting dressed up in winter.
I also have a plain gray wool coat.
And a black pea coat too.

I like pea coats! I have a few. I thought that I only had a couple of coats until I realized I have a storage spot for the ones that I don't wear as often. All of your coats are pretty and look warm :).
ReplyDeleteThank you. Warm is definitely key up here. I mean I'm not great about actually wearing them on a day to day basis but when I break down and actually wear one it needs to be warm.
DeleteYou have a fabulous coat collection! My fave is the robe coat.

Thank you! I was surprised by how warm that one felt since it's a lighter weight material than most of my others.
DeleteMy favorite of these is the gray wool coat. It would have to be longer for me, but this is just my style.
ReplyDeleteI did notice that I don't have any long coats anymore! I need to remedy that.
DeleteOk OBSESSED with that poncho- that is so pretty for the holidays and nights out!
ReplyDeleteYes! It is perfect for when I want to feel a bit dressier.
DeleteOh, you have such a nice collection of pea/wool coats. I think your climate is better suited for them than mine.
ReplyDeleteI do have some puffer coats with fur trimmed hoods for when it's real cold.
DeleteI just usually wear regular jackets - a fleece or my winter coat! I did just order a quarter zip from the North Face though!
ReplyDeleteI tend to not wear coats much at all and just rely on my car heating to keep me warm but when I need a coat I like to have lots of options to pick from.
DeleteThat maroon pea coat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way that is a beautiful color on you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteOh I LOVE that fur lined cape!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThe fur trim cape is really fun! I love peacoat style coats and usually have one in my closet: I did thrift a red and an olive one this year. My mom has a couple too, one that I had bought for myself on Ebay but ended up being too small for me. It perfect for her.

Thank you!
DeleteI feel like I barely got to wear my jackets and sweaters this winter! I am a big fan of the classic pea coat. (:
ReplyDeleteThat is not what we have been saying at all! We have had a very cold and very snowy winter.
DeleteYou have so many cute coats, Joanne...and, of course, the poncho. I have a closet full of coats that rarely get worn now that we spend most of our time in Southern Utah. I need to pick a couple of favorites and then donate the rest. That's my decluttering goal for our next trip up north. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYou have so many nice options. The shorter plaid one is lovely and I would wear that lots for errands.
ReplyDeleteYeah I reach for that one often.
DeleteI love the fur trimmed poncho...what a nice option.

Thank you!
DeleteYou always look so put together! Love the peacoat!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much!
DeleteI really love the maroon pea coat you are wearing! The color just pops!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteLove all of these choices you have! I've always wanted a pea coat!

I think I've always owned a peacoat of some sort ever since I was in college.
DeleteThat poncho is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI usually wear one of two winter coats. One is for when it's really cold, and the other for 'regular' weather.
ReplyDeleteFunny enough I rarely wear a coat of any kind!
DeleteAll super duper cute. You wear these well. They look comfy and cute. Best combo ever!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteSo many great options. I know I would love your fur trimmed cape!! I have begun buying more outwear - not sure why!! We have such mild-ish winters and I tend to run from the car to the store or school or church without thinking to put on a coat. But then again, I am often cold with AC in the middle of July, so usually have a jacket or cardigan with me in the summer. Ha!!
ReplyDeleteI rarely wear a coat either but I always have one in the car with me just in case.
