Talking About it Tuesday #105
I hope you all had a lovely weekend; I know much of the US was forecasted to get some unusual weather & I hope my fellow Americans made out okay in the storm. We were supposed to get between 13 & 19 inches of snow, which while rather extreme is not completely unheard of here. In 2013 our state got over 36 inches of snow over one 24 hour period but of course no two storms are alike and wind, ice, etc. can vary from one to the next. We were just hopeful to keep our power going and we did for the most part (we had an hour where a car accident took ours down but an hour is nothing). We did get lots and lots of snow but thankfully the super cold temps made it a nice light, fluffy snow and not a wet, heavy snow which is much easier to deal with.
We had lots of great links at last week's party. It's always so fun to see what is shared and oh so hard to pick just a few to feature.

Reading Challenge: 52 Prompts to Inspire Your Reading Life by Kraft Planner
This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more-- up to 3 posts per blog. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.

I wonder how much you guys ended up getting? I heard there was the possibility of another storm for the East Coast soon? We are now dealing with extremely cold temps? It's nutty. I mean, it's winter, right?? I'm glad you only lost power for an hour. Losing power is our fear. We've had little wind and ice for which we're thankful. Stay warm and thanks for the link up :).
ReplyDeleteAs of yesterday we had 16.5 inches but it did snow some overnight.
Deleteohhh great recipes!
ReplyDeleteI thought those looked fabulous!

DeleteIt seems that it snows everywhere in the northern hemisphere. We had about 10 cm new snow the past weekend. I personally love it, though I can´t enjoy it at the moment as I am recovering from a cold.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time and all the best

Me too! I spent the last two days in bed with an awful head cold. I'm feeling marginally better today.... hope you're feeling better soon!

DeleteThanks so much for supporting this community of bloggers week in and week out, Joanne! We appreciate you! Good luck shoveling out from all the snow you got!
ReplyDeleteAw, you're welcome! I think we are all shoveled out.. until the next storm.
DeleteThat is a LOT of snow. My goodness. None here (yet). Hoping it stays that way for a week or two as I am heading north next week - where the snow tends to be heavier.
ReplyDeleteI hope it stays away and doesn't interfere with your plans! We're supposed to get another storm this coming weekend.
DeleteMy Entries for today's party are # 43, 44 and 45!!

DeleteThanks for another fun link up, Joanne. The storm brought cold but not much snow to our area--we had at the most 2 inches in different snowfalls. Today it is warming up again to the high 40s.
ReplyDeleteWow; that is warm for you guys!
DeleteGood morning dear Joanne, thank you for a great weekly party and sharing our SSPS logo

DeleteAlso thankful for light, fluffy snow!
ReplyDeleteYes, it would have been so much worse it was the wet, heavy kind.
DeleteI'm glad things went smoothly for you with the snow - light and fluffy and not too much power outage!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteOh, the reading challenge printable looks great. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteGlad to hear the storm didn’t cause too much inconvenience!
ReplyDeleteNot for me... I'm sure it was more of a hassle for other businesses and things that had to shut down.
DeleteSo many fun features and posts!
ReplyDeleteThat is one thing I love about hosting a link up; there is always quite a wide variety.
DeleteI’m glad all was well with your snowfall. We are finally thawing out and I got out for the first time since last Friday. Thank you for the party, Joanne, and have a great rest of the week.
