How I Did With My Fall Bucket List & My Winter List 2025

We had a fabulous fall and with the official start of winter yesterday, I thought today would be the perfect time to share how I did with my fall bucket list and share some things I hope to do this winter. I'm not sure all that many of my co-hosts will be blogging about their bucket lists today but as always I do have a link up at the end if you'd like to join in.

My fall list included:

1. See 21 Pilots in concert with Evan-- Check!

2. Take Evan to North Carolina to see the whole family-- Nope, since he started working in early October and it was only a seasonal job we decided to push this off until the spring.

3. See SIX live in theaters--Check! Alec and I had a fabulous night in Providence and even met some of the cast afterwards.

4. Go to the immersive Monet exhibit with Alec-- Check!

  5. Take some pretty fall hikes-- Check!

6. Take Evan on one last college tour (Nichol's college)--Check!

7. Go see Hadestown with my two youngest--check!

8. Celebrate Evan's 18th birthday-- Check!

9. Celebrate Ben's Birthday with a special dinner out -- Check! The boys, my mother in law, the birthday boy and myself enjoyed a night out at Wright's Farm.

10. Celebrate Thanksgiving with the family--Check! We were just a small group of 7 this year but it was still a lot of fun.

11. Decorate for Christmas--Check!

12. Read by the fire/wood stove--Check! We got our wood stove going the weekend before Thanksgiving and I've already spent lots of time by it reading.

13. Put together a few puzzles-Check!

 14. Scrapbook our Glacier National park trip--Check!

15. Paint at least 2 new paintings-- Check! Even if it took me until the 15th of December and I got it in under the wire it definitely still counts.

My Winter Bucket List:

  1. Celebrate Christmas with the family
  2. Enjoy my husband's executive Christmas party at Via
  3. Check out some Christmas lights
  4. Celebrate Alec's 20th birthday

  6. Celebrate Valentine's day
  7. Go on some winter hikes or snowshoe hikes
  8. Read by the fire
  9. Go see Wicked with Alec
  10. Try at least 2 new card making techniques

  11. We always find that if we write things down, then we'll be better off doing them. Even if you reschedule them for another time. Love that you do puzzles!!

You did some really fun things this past fall especially seeing shows and getting celebration time with the family. Wishing a very merry Christmas.

  26. You did so well on your autumn list. Bravo!! That theater is just gorgeous. What a lovely place to see any production. Sounds like you enjoyed some one-on-one time with all the fellas in your life. Your hiking photos are spectacular, as always. Always enjoy seeing your scrapbooking, card-making and painting projects. 27. Wow, you checked almost every single thing off the list! I love it! And I love your winter list, too. Lots of cozy activities. Olivia just got a calligraphy set for Christmas and I can't wait to see what she does with it. I love that you have a set, too. It seems like everything is digital these days and nice handwriting is becoming a lost art.

    1. I used to have calligraphy pens and ink wells when I was in high school and I got really good at not only writing with them but I made some really rather fabulous drawings with them too. It's a skill I hope to pick back up.
