Recipes We've Been Making Lately: Fall 2025
It's that time of year where I'm always on the hunt for new crock pot dinners and cozy meal ideas. We've been trying out lots of new recipes and so far we've had lots of hits! It's also the time of year I struggle to get good food photos. With the lighting so dim in the evenings when we eat my camera tries to adjust the lighting automatically and sometimes the end results look very little like the meal I actually made!
We made this roasted turkey breast for dinner one night-- though I only used 1/4 cup of butter and dried herbs since that's what I had on hand. It took a lot longer to cook than 15 minutes a pound but it tasted great.
We tried this recipe for slow cooker apple cider chicken sandwiches; they were pretty good and oh so easy to make!
I made a double batch of this pineapple teriyaki sauce; it was delicious!
We made this ground chicken sweet chili noodles (scroll towards the bottom) for dinner though I did use ground turkey in place of the chicken since that's what I had on hand. I knew it would be a hit with the family since my husband has started using the sweet chili sauce on nearly everything!
I made this Parmesan crusted cod one night with the fresh cod my husband caught. It was a quick and easy recipe but I do wish it had a bit of breadcrumbs mixed in (the website is low carb life though so I certainly wasn't expecting breadcrumbs in it but I think next time I'd do a mixture of Panko crumbs with the cheese just to add that bit of texture). The taste was great though!
This recipe for Slow cooker garlic beef bites was a huge hit with the whole family. It was so nice and simple too. I served it with a side salad, some peas, and fresh bread I made. I know it doesn't look like much but it had lots of flavor and the meat was so tender.
We tried this peanut butter chicken recipe over white rice and served it with a side of broccoli. I did add 1 tablespoon miso but other than that I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out so good!

I enjoy using my crockpot mostly because I like to do my meal prep early in the day and the crockpot is made for that. I will check out some of these. I am a big fan of Asian flavors, sweet chili especially so will try the noodles for sure. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I have so much more energy and ambition in the morning!
DeleteThey all look great! My crockpot is old and I really need a new one. I feel that my crockpot meals are better when I am home and can check on them and not let it overcook. That was my problem with being out of the house so long. My sister's trick is to start with frozen meat because she is out of the house from 7-5!
ReplyDeleteMy mom found us a new one not too long ago; my old one cracked!
DeleteThese dishes look good! I will definitely check a few of them out. I am always on the lookout for new recipes and these look like good ones.

DeleteIt's so impressive how you try new recipes so much.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly why I added that prompt to my 60 new things, because we keep doing the same things over and over.
