Prime Purchases from October 2025

It's the first Thursday of the month and time for Prime Purchases with Jill and Andrea.  I had another month where I bought quite a bit on Amazon. Evan has my car 3-4 days a week now to get to and from work so I often resort to ordering online.

Evan and I decided to add Graphic Novels into his short story study so I ordered a few to get us started (he's ordered a few of his own directly from the publisher too). The 3 we started with:

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys

Refugee: the Graphic Novel by Alan Gratz

The Librarian of Auschwitz: The Graphic Novel by Antonio Iturbe

He's already read and enjoyed them all and I'm starting to think I'm going to broke keeping this up! I will be looking for more graphic novels through our library.

Evan needed more socks so we ordered these.

He also needed another pair of gloves for sleeping so ordered another set of these.

I made a cookie cake for my husband's birthday but I didn't have a cookie cake pan. My whole family insisted I needed one so I could make them a lot more often. I ordered this 11" round.

I bought this mug for a gift. I love it so much I just might have to buy one for myself!

I needed some more of these envelopes and my adhesive refills

I ordered more of my favorite deodorant and these colorful loofahs

I bought these wide leg yoga pants and this scallop edge cardigan

  2. I love the cardigan! So cute!! I can see how you'd need to buy envelopes for all the cards you make.

    1. Thank you! I definitely go through a lot of envelopes. I'll need at least 30-40 of them for Christmas cards.

  6. You found some good things. Isn't the scalloped cardigan nice quality? I wore mine last night to dinner! I wore my yoga pants this week and remembered how much I love them, too. They are just good basics.

  10. Such great buys! Love the cardigan! Our public library has lots of graphic novels in their young adult department and probably regular department too.

    1. Ours has a decent amount and we can access so many more through inter-library loan but weirdly when they come to collections we can't specify what volume we want to read... it's so odd...

    1. I love it! I fully admit it doesn't hold up to hiking or really hot summer days but most of the time it's wonderful.

  12. Its so convenient to shop online. And with amazon, at least it's all in one place.
Sometimes amazon gets a bad rap.And I try not to use it too much, but there are times....

    1. I try not to use them much either because after reading about them I get their bad rap... but there are times I just can't pass up the convenience (and weirdly often wonder if they even notice my occasional boycott!).

    1. I read the first two in novel form as well; which is a big part of why I picked those titles for him to read.

  16. I follow a page on Facebook called Banking on Bargains and Megan is typically the one who posts all the deals. I have already started Christmas shopping because she shared some incredible deals and I have been snatching stuff up for very little $$. Needless to say, Amazon packages have been making frequent showings at my house, LOL! The cardigan is cute, but so is your scarf!

  18. How do you find life without a car? When my husband takes our car it often gives me such a peacful feeling knowing I can't go anywhere. I find it restful.

  19. I completely forgot about the Ursa Major brand and need to check out their deodorant. The butterfly tumbler and scalloped edge cardigan are both so cute!
