Scrapbook Pages and Cards I Made in October 2025

I got some new Christmas themed products in and I've been playing around with making my Christmas cards. I've a few troubles with my hot foil machine as I try harder and harder things but so far I think they're pretty cute. 



trying to hot foil multiple colors and images is really tricky when I can't really see where I'm placing them on the card stock!

I was so excited to finally have some time (and the desire!) to begin working on scrapbooking our Glacier National Park trip. It's slow going but I have SO MANY photos to go through and I want the pages to look practically perfect. 

I LOVE how this double page spread turned out.  



That Cricut Mountainscape medallion is the chef's kiss if I do say so myself!

 In most of my layouts I'm letting the photos do most of the heavy lifting.

      Oh that JOY foil card nearly did me in with the 3 colors but I do love the shiny letters.

    This is AMAZING! How special it would be to get a hand-made Christmas card, I LOVE that so much!!! You're very talented, I have had a Cricut for years and still haven't figured out how to do much on it!

    I journal, and I love seeing your scrapbook pages!! I enjoy giving my journal some scrapbook feels.
    Your Christmas cards are gorgeous! Well done! Those who get one of your cards will truly appreciate them. I display my sister’s homemade cards in my she-shed and office! I even framed one.

    You have beautiful photos from Glacier! So what's your favorite scrapbooking tool? Your most used? I miss scrapbooking and a goal of mine in the new year is to sort through all my gear and make at least two books in 2027.

Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. And through the years I had SO MANY favorites! Growing pains aired in 1985 which put me around age 8 and it stayed on the air until I was 15 or so; I'm pretty sure most people in my age group watched mostly for Kirk Cameron and all his antics.  I still have a soft spot for family sit-coms!  The Facts of Life aired when I was just 2  and stayed on the air until I was 11 so I'm sure the episodes I remember so fondly were either some of the later ones and then reruns shown later on when I was old enough to watch from the beginning. Share 4 Somethings in October

Since the last Saturday of the month is tomorrow it's just about time for Share 4 Somethings with Jenn. As always we're sharing some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of .  Some things I've loved:  While this was technically in September it was after the last Share 4 Somethings so I'm counting it-- Evan and I LOVED the 21 Pilots concert. It was an amazing night.  I also loved celebrating my husband's birthday.  We had a lovely date night this weekend; we wanted to try Hell's Kitchen at Foxwoods but they were booked so we went back to David Burke Steakhouse.   yep, I got salmon at a steakhouse!  Alec and I went to dinner and a show at the PPAC last night. We saw SIX and while I'm writing this advance I'm pretty confident it's going to be in he love category for the month. If nothing else I got to see Alec for the first time in over a month! Day in the Life: The Day of Evan's First College Interview

 I decided to document last Friday October 17th, for my Day in the Life. It's been a long time since I've done a day in the life but I always enjoy reading them. So I figured why not? 5:30-- I woke up and got right to blogging.  6:00- I set the computer aside and got dressed, made the the bed, etc. 6:30-- Leave for the gym photo taken as I was leaving.. when it was finally light enough for a photo! 8:00-- home from the gym and I head upstairs to get dressed and ready for the day while Evan starts school and eats breakfast without me.  8:30-- I started prepping dinner; I was making a turkey pot pie. While Also overseeing/helping Evan with his schoolwork when needed. 9:00 I sat down to eat breakfast and do a bit of blogging 9:30-- Laundry, took out the garbage, brushed my teeth, filled the dishwasher-- all those fun morning chores.  10:00 - 11:30 -- I sat down to do some scrapbooking and got 3 more double page spreads all laid out.     11:30-12:30 I actu...

Each year near the end of December/ beginning of January I share the top 10 posts of the year but this year, in particular, I have noticed some much older posts that are still bringing in lots of pageviews and thought it would be fun to look back and see a top 10 list of all time.  I started my blog in June of 2012 and while so many of my first posts were long blocky, chunky rambles without any real photos of us and our family I just can't bring myself to delete any of them as I really do enjoy looking back and seeing how my blog has change and grown over time.
