How I Did With My Summer Bucket List & My Fall 2025 List

Since summer is over it's time to look at how I did with my summer bucket list & share my fall list. It is a link party (the same link will be kept open for a week and you can share how you did with your summer bucket list/goals or the new list and goals you've set for fall or both!).

In no particular order here are some of the things I had hoped to accomplish this summer:

1. Go to Glacier National Park -- Check!

2. Celebrate several graduations with extended family-- Check!

3. Birthday shopping/lunch with my mom-- Check!

4. Spend lots of time with family and friends-- Check!

5. Try a new CSA (community supported agriculture) and lots of new recipes-- Check! We found a meat CSA to try this year and using our veggies we made roasted radishes and Swiss chard, zucchini relish, we made turkey burgers of all kinds, etc.

6. Make our own pickles, jam, and marinara sauce-- check!

strawberry jam

7. Visit the farmer's markets-- Nope but we did stop by a few farm roadside stands so I'm calling that good enough.

8. Eat lots of meal outside-- Check!

9. Get to the beach-- Nope!

10. Go kayaking a time or two-- check!

11. Celebrate 4th of July with the whole family-- Check!

12. See some fireworks-- Check! (though the fireworks displays were kind of pathetic this year)

13. Make some homemade ice cream-- Check!

14. Go to Canobie Lake ParkNope; the boys asked to go to the zoo and the botanical garden instead.

15.  Check out a new museum or nature preserve-- Check! On our Montana trip we went to the Conrad Mansion Museum.

 16. Visit a new to me restaurant-- Check! We actually ate at lots of new restaurants, David Burke Prime for a nice date night out, Gregg's (near Alec's campus), O'Rourke's (near Alec's campus), The Huckleberry Patch (Montana), Paul Bunyan Bar & Grill (Montana), Mercantile Steak (Montana).

17. Put together a new puzzle-- check!

18. Paint some new paintings-- Check!

 19. Get "caught up" on my scrapbooking-- check!

20. Go on a boat ride-- Check! We went on 3 boats in Glacier National park.

I'm very pleased with how I did! We had so much fun this summer.

Here is my Fall Bucket List:

1. See 21 Pilots in concert with Evan

2. Take Evan to North Carolina to see the whole family

3. See SIX live in theaters

4. Go to the immersive Monet exhibit with Alec

5. Take some pretty fall hikes

6. Take Evan on one last college tour (Nichol's college)

7. Go see Hadestown with my two youngest

8. Celebrate Evan's 18th birthday

9. Celebrate Ben's Birthday with a special dinner out

10. Celebrate Thanksgiving with the family

11. Decorate for Christmas

12. Read by the fire/wood stove

13. Put together a few puzzles

14. Scrapbook our Glacier National park trip

15. Paint at least 2 new paintings

  7. You did great getting to all your fun summer plans. I am working on my fall list now, but my summer list makes me a little sad. I didn't get to so much because of my ankle. It still feels so summery here it's hard to think of fall. Hope you enjoy all the fall fun on your list!

  8. Wow, you accomplished a lot over the summer. I like the way you put things like celebrating birthdays on the list and puzzle, things that you know take up time and will happen, but you still have to make them happen.

That is a fabulous summer, and I definitely think the road side stands count as farmer's market.
