Share 4 Somethings in April 2025
Since the last Saturday of the month is tomorrow it's just about time for Share 4 Somethings with Jenn. As always we're sharing some things we loved, some things we learned, some things that went well, and some things we let go of.
Some things I've loved: We had my brother and his family over for dinner just for fun and to talk over some plans. It was so great to see everyone and we had such a delicious meal too (if I do say so myself; I went all out with homemade marinara, keto meatballs, fresh zoodles, 2 loaves of a whole wheat bread I experimented with, keto Italian dressing, brownies, etc).

The only 2 photos I thought to take! |

We had pasta and zoodles so I took a bit of both with my salad |
I also loved a couple of the hikes Evan and I tackled this month.
Some things I've learned: I've been learning a lot about Glacier National park in order to prep for a trip we're planning.
Some things that went well: We got a lot of Alec's stuff moved home though we did have to leave pretty much all this clothing and bedding, his cleaning and toiletry supplies so we still have plenty more to pack next week but we were able to remove everything from his walls without any damage so that's good.
Some things I let go of: I've been cleaning out kitchen cabinets and various other small areas of the house that I hadn't tackled in awhile. I haven't let go of a whole lot but just a few small things here and there like vases and platters and decorative objects.

That dinner sounds amazing—homemade marinara and keto meatballs? Yum! 😋
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great mix of family time, fun hikes, and getting stuff done.
Glacier’s going to be awesome!
Aw, thank you! It was a bit stressful trying to keep it all Keto but I managed (with plenty of non-Keto options for the rest).
DeleteOh your plans sound exciting- can't wait to follow along! Your meal also looks so pretty, delish and healthy as always!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteCleaning out even the little things makes a huge difference. Getting things off a wall without damaging it is certainly a victory, so good job! Also, remind me, we need to talk about Glacier!
ReplyDeleteIt really does! We did have a tiny bit of damage to the ceiling though so we'll see what the college says tomorrow (they have to have it inspected before they leave).
DeleteYour meal sounds really good. I haven't made meatballs in a while. I think it's college daughter returned home for the summer approved- if not, I'll wait until September to make them :). Sounds like the move out is coming along nicely. Safe travels and see ya soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've been trying to use up all that ground beef from our 1/2 cow (that no one but my husband seems to like) and find that meatballs and meatloaf go over slightly better.
DeleteSo nice to have your Bro and fam over and the meal sounded great!
ReplyDeleteThe anonymous comment is from me, it won’t let me sign into google.
DeleteThank you! It was really nice to see them.
DeleteI'm about to let go of everything in my guest room closet that I haven't touched in years...
ReplyDeleteGlacier sounds like a great idea!
Oh I bet that is going to feel so freeing! The key is to not look at them too closely when purging isn't it? Otherwise I'm like "oh I forgot about this; I can't get rid of it" when clearly if I forgot about it I obviously can.
DeleteYour meal and time with family sounds lovely. 💜
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteIt sounds like you had a lovely time with your brother and his family.
ReplyDeleteThe trip sounds exciting and good job and getting Alec partly moved home.
Thank you!
DeleteI want to come to dinner at your house!! Zoodles...love that!:)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks!

Aw, thank you! I love having family close by.
DeleteCan't wait to read about your next trip!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll have the recap up next week (the 8th & 9th).
DeleteGlad you had a good time with family and the process of moving Alec home is going well so far. A trip to Glacier sounds exciting - it's such a beautiful National Park! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it is such a beautiful park and one I figured we should see soon before the glaciers are all gone.
DeleteHow nice you got to catch up with family. The food looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe hikes look beautiful, loving the blue skies. :)
Thank you!
DeleteYour food looks super yummy! I am having homemade meatballs tonight. The moving in and out is always so tiring, but glad his walls were not damaged. Have a great week! Stopping by from Share Four Somethings
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks! I'm not looking forward to the final mid-week/mid-city move. Parking is so much easier on the weekends (there is a lot for the courthouse behind the dorm that is always empty and free on the weekend!).
DeleteIt's crazy how fast things like vases and kitchen containers accumulate. The dinner with family looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt really is! I went from having 3 vases to an entire cabinet full.
DeleteThe dinner looks delish! And even better is time spent with family. Wow! Already time to come home from college. Love the nature pics as always. Can’t wait to read about your Louisville weekend.
ReplyDeleteI know! I feel like that first year flew right by; it doesn't hurt that his college gets out so early compared to all the others we know.
DeleteI would love to go to Glacier one day! I hope you have so much fun when you go on your trip!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I'm pretty excited.
