Prime Purchases in October
It was another busy month of purchases. As I'm going through my closet and getting rid of things I'm also ordering new things to replace those discarded items with. I want to be one of those minimalist clothing people but I have come to the realization that I never will be. I love clothing far too much!
I missed wearing all my chiffon tops from summer but wanted something in a totally different style to go with more of my fall/winter wardrobe and I found this long kimono that I just love!
I also felt like I needed a few new long sleeve shirts so I bought this pretty blue/green floral blouse & this velvet top
I've also been trying to step outside my comfort zone and wear more dresses-- short dresses that is (I love a good maxi dress). I bought this velvet one and this cotton green one. Both of them hit me right at knee length but I honestly think I'd like them better shorter with some leggings underneath for fall/winter.
I've started baking my own sandwich bread some weeks and had nothing good and airtight to store the loaves in so I picked out this sealable bread box and I really like it.
We also had most of our spatulas and spoons break or go missing so I bought this blue set and this black set.
Alec's been struggling to keep his lavender plant alive without overwatering it so we bought a set of these self-watering pots hoping to revive it. I'm not sure if it will work as far as saving the plant but I can definitely see myself transferring a few of my pots around the house into this system!
I bought myself a new 2025 wall calendars for blog post planning. I love a good beach theme!
I also bought a fun new fall themed puzzle
I made all my Christmas cards but realized I was going to need more envelopes.
I also wore out my Sizzix cutting pads making my 40 cars so I bought some new ones.
I use these magnetic sheets and envelopes to store my die cuts in and I ran out of magnetic sheets so I ordered a few more.

The blue/green floral blouse is so pretty! I am not on the Amazon for clothes bandwagon yet (I have ordered maybe three clothing items total in the past eight years or so!) but seeing your posts about the clothing items you have purchased always gives me pause and I consider buying items from Amazon :).
ReplyDeleteThank you! That blouse is one of my favorites right now and I'm wearing it often.
DeleteVery pretty as always!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI am very particular about the length of any dress I wear. I don't feel like I look good in one that is on the short side, but have to be careful not to get that 'frumpy' feel one that's too long gives me. It seems like everything is so short now and that's fine if you're young, and while I'm not old I'm not young either : ) It's a challenge! I love the floral top! Amazon has definitely stepped up their clothing game and I've bought several tops there. Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteI just don't feel like I good in dresses period, but I do feel like they are so comfy and I'd like to wear them more.
DeleteI would love to be one of those minimalist clothing people too but it just isn't happening. lol
ReplyDeleteThat kimono is so pretty and I love those dresses. I am not comfortable showing my legs so always wear leggings or tights underneath mine.
I have been wearing my dresses with leggings more as it gets colder and I am loving it.
DeleteI need a breadbox we use our microwave and it isn't always the most effective with taking it in and out.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we were finding!
DeleteThe dresses are cute! I love a dress and boots in the winter. I leave my bread in the fridge, but have thought about getting bread bags to help store and gift them. Those self watering pots look great! I need to remember that next time I get a plant. I don't have any live houseplants right now.
ReplyDeleteWe store the store bought/cheap loaves of bread in the fridge but freshly baked goods are always best stored at room temperature (or so I was told by my resident baker). It does help the bread stay softer stored on the counter.
DeleteSure is amazing the variety of items you can get on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteIt really is!
DeleteLove the bread box, we use something similar. Visiting from #MMBC!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThe plant watering system might be helpful!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too; especially when I go on vacation... sadly though all my houseplants are much too large to try them out.
DeleteI like the new tops you bought. You always look so nice. I hope you have a nice week Joanne.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteI like all of your purchases. The fall puzzle is complex so it will be a fun one to complete. Kitchen equipment and new flower pots are always a nice way to make little upgrades. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSome great finds. Love that puzzle.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun to put together.
DeleteSome great picks! The blue floral blouse is very pretty. The kimono is a brave choice - good for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love leggings under longer shirts & above knee dresses Joanne. They're my all time favourite comfy outfits that I mainly wear in Autumn, Winter & Spring. ☺️ As our Summer's are far too hot for leggings, jeans or trousers.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Jennifer
Thank you! I've been wearing leggings with these two dresses anyway and I do find them to be quite comfortable that way.
DeleteThe green dress is so cute! I like the kimono too; I used to live in those and never thought to look for a longer length one! Also, as a notorious plant killer because I always forget to water them, why have I never looked into self-watering pots?!? Thanks for the idea!
ReplyDeleteRight?! I'm not great at remembering to water my plants either.
DeleteThat kimono is gorgeous and loving the velvet dress! Thanks for sharing these finds!

Thank you!
DeleteThat green dress looks amazing on you. I know what you mean about 'wanting to be a minimalist'. For me, I think I just tire of wearing the same things over and over again too easily. It's nice to wear something new. I was wondering if you use an oven to bake bread or if you have a bread maker. I was thinking of investing in one and need a recommendation.
ReplyDeleteI use my oven; I used to have a bread maker but I rarely used it so I ended up getting rid of it.
DeleteHere by chance....very pretty. All the best
ReplyDeleteVioletta
Aw, thank you!
DeleteI love that green dress on you! It's so flattering! You look great!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteUsing those magnetic sheets with envelopes to house your die cuts is genius! Thanks for the idea!
DeleteYou're welcome Laura!
DeleteYour clothes are so CUTE! I love that velvet top! And I love a short dress!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYou got some great items! I'm really interested in those self-watering plant pots. They look like the perfect gift idea for my mom and brother. My mom always over-waters her plants and my brother travels a lot.
ReplyDeleteI either over-water or underwater them!
DeleteYou made some pretty awesome selections. I couldn't resist adding the velvet shirt to my wish list.

Thank you!
DeleteYou found some great things this month. Love the tops and dress! Those self watering pots look really smart.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGreat finds all around. The full sleeve shirts are lovely. You could get Alec a soil moisture meter. I find them to be super helpful. If he lets the soil dry and then water the plant, it might actually recover if the roots are not rotten.

Thank you! I will look into a moisture meter.
