Talking About it Tuesday #40
Happy Tuesday and happy October! After a few delays my mom and step-father finally signed the paperwork and sold their house last week. Then they turned their attention to closing up the camper for the season and moved in with us over the weekend. They will stay with us until the weekend when they start their drive down south where they'll be staying at my aunt's house while she's on vacation and they're house hunting. I can tell they are both so nervous and so excited to see how this next step on their retirement journey works out. I am so glad we had Alec's empty bedroom to offer them!
What's new with you?! I can't wait to see what you share this week!

This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views.

DeleteWhat a time of transition. I thought we were going to need to downsize after my husband retired, but the market is so crazy now, it's cheaper to stay with the house payment we have.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it is nuts; but it's actually much cheaper down south than up here!
DeleteBest wishes to your Mom and Step Dad on their hunt for a new home in the south. We moved west eleven years ago from NYC to Colorado to live closer to our children and grandchildren. It has been a wonderful adventure!

ReplyDeleteIt is a lot of work but I agree that the hardest part is behind them.
DeleteWe've been enjoying relaxing fall break. The boys are a little congested but nothing too bad. It is nice to not have big plans but just a couple fun things planned.
