Currently in June

It's the first Wednesday of the month and time for the Currently link up with Jennifer. This month we're looking at what we're currently Loving, Looking Forward to, Enjoying, Seeing, and Lounging Around in.

loving: We had a fabulous graduation party for Alec this past weekend at our home. It was a lot of work to get everything in order, cooked, decorated, etc. but it was definitely worth it. He has some really great friends and it was great to get to know them all better. (I will have a full post up about his party later this month) 



looking forward to: Alec's graduation week is next week; he's got 1/2 days most days and then next Friday is his graduation! I can't wait!

enjoying: Our time in Acadia!

    I am sure you loved having Alec's graduation party and getting to be with his friends. It's my personal opinion that is one of the greatest things in life for young people - graduating and celebrating them afterward, no matter what that looks like. My boys' high school grad parties were always my favorite, but by the time we got around to our last two, it was my favorite and most low-key. I felt like we got better and better at them as time went on!

      It is such a beautiful state (at least the coastal areas are; I don't think we've ever been anywhere else in the state).

    I think you were so smart having his party early. It looks like a wonderful time for everyone! I remember going to Acadia National Park when my kids were little. It would be a beautiful place to escape to now. All of your comfy clothes are beautiful!

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. Dollar Store Candy Cane Wreath

Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. What's Up Wednesday in November

It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for What's Up Wednesday. This will be my last post of the month but I'll be back on Monday the 2nd with some of my favorite Prime Purchases of the year.  What We're Eating: Sunday: Steak (and tofu) stir-fry over rice Monday: Weight Watcher's American Chop Suey  with salad Tuesday: Crock pot Philly cheesesteak grinders with chips and salad Wednesday: Pumpkin pancakes with fruit and bacon Thursday: Our menu hasn't changed since 2020..Though we will sub out the crescent rolls for some homemade bread/rolls that Alec's cooking up for us.  Friday: Leftover turkey pie Saturday: One of our favorite soup recipes; though I'm not sure which one yet! It's the second Monday of the month which means it's time for the Share Our lives link up. This month for the Share Our Lives link up we're sharing where we like to shop. I struggled a bit with this prompt since it's so open ended. I thought I'd list my "top 3" stores in various categories. inside our local Market Basket Groceries: Market Basket Price Chopper Stop and Shop For Gifts: Amazon (free shipping to family that lives far away is fabulous!)
