Prime Purchases in April

Some months I am pleasantly surprised by how little I've used Amazon... but this past month was not one of those months.  If anything I'm a bit hesitant to share ALL that I've bought!  Of course we bought eclipse glasses and even a phone filter and I also bought household items like toothpaste and deodorant. But the bulk of my shopping was for some spring clothing items for me and lots and lots of party supplies.

I pulled out SOME of my spring and summer clothes and found that I "needed" a few things.  I ordered a few of these tanks in various colors

As well as a few of these too.  I tend to wear tank tops a lot all winter long under my sweaters and many of them were so stretched out.  In the summer I will wear them just as a top with shorts so I like to have an array of colors.

I found a few maxi skirts I couldn't resist-- I loved the bright colors on this one and the lovely shades of blue in this one.   I'm still waiting for it to be warm enough to wear them though!

I already have these earrings in another tone and love them so I splurged and bought them in the gun metal finish too.

Our style challenge this coming month for the Ageless style group was straw bags and since I didn't have one I went looking on Amazon.  This one reminds me of a bag I used to use all summer long and I can't wait to use it.

I saw this shirt on someone's post last month and was influenced to buy it.  I ended up wearing it to Tennessee and I love it.

I can not find my comfy green jumpsuit that I wore all last summer anywhere (I think it got pilly and I ditched it at the end of season) so I found this fun printed one to try. I love it; even it has been a bit chilly to really wear it much yet.

I wanted one last pair of linen pants in a tan color-- that weren't see through! And these fit the bill nicely. Until I washed them the first time and they shrank-- a lot! 😠

Alec is graduating high school in June and Ian is slated to graduate college in December so I stocked up on 2024 Graduation decorations and supplies-- some I need just for Alec's party and others I am hoping to use for both.

Like this frame that also doubles as a keepsake (for Alec).

This decor pack (for both other than the number balloons)

This banner (for both; I hope!)

I also decided to make a bigger deal out of Ian's 20th birthday than usual since his 16th birthday was during covid and his 18th birthday was very low-key as well (at his request).  I saw some fun 20th birthday decorations online and couldn't resist!

This plate/napkin/utensil set

This cake topper

Candles (am I the only one that usually forgets candles?!)

This banner set

Tablecloth

Evan used his own money to buy himself a new computer monitor and after much debate decided on this one.  Something about refresh rate while playing video games... I don't know. He did know he didn't want a large screen and he definitely did not want a curved screen. He seems to like it.

Lastly while Alec was home on April vacation and baking up a storm he informed me that both our whisks were broken and our wire cooling/baking racks had been rusty and got tossed on our last kitchen clean out but that he does use them and needed some new ones.  We picked out this set of whisks,

and these racks.

Here's hoping I don't need much of anything at all this month!

  1. Ok - those maxi skirts and that straw bag! I love the fun patterns. I did have a straw bag from J.Crew that I loved and I must have put it in the donation bag by mistake. I'm so sad about it!

  2. I like how high in the chest the blue tank is- I will check those out. I feel like so many of my tank tops are low cut and tend to ride down in the chest area. Before I know it, I am showing way more cleavage than I would like to :(. I need to get on ordering some grad decor really soon- I like all of the supplies that you bought.

The graduation decorations are such fun. How exciting.
Ahh! When my fella bought a new computer monitor he was going on about the refresh rate, I guess it must be a big deal when it comes to games. lol

  5. I am super envious of your Amazon purchases. Anything I order takes weeks to get here and I worry about the sizing and having to return items. I love the lilac ruffle sleeve shirt but it doesn't ship here. What a pity about the linen trousers :(

  14. I love those long skirts, especially the first one that's bright. You had some great purchases! I feel like I did good this month, too. I didn't go too crazy, but the things I bought I actually needed. Your opening paragraph made me laugh. I feel like that too sometimes! Have a great day, my friend. 🩷

  30. Don't you hate it when you find a nice pair of pants and they shrink after washing. Mine always shrink up too, making them capris . I wouldn't mind if they shrank in making them smaller overall, but no, it's always up. Anyway, I love the purple top, that is so cute!

  31. Oh, I like that frame! Might have to order. Graduation party is on the 19th and Amazon and the dollar stores were my friends. I just put out the signs in our yard. Got a school one with picture and a generic one with twinkly lights I got on deal from Amazon. Let me know what you think of that colorful skirt material wise. It looks beautiful!
