Talking About it Tuesday #14
Happy April! I hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter (if that's a holiday you celebrate). We don't normally do much for Easter but my younger sister and her family decided to make a last minute trip up to visit from North Carolina so we found ourselves hosting Easter dinner for 18! (my mom provided the food, we cooked it all up and provided the space). They're here the whole week so Evan and I are rearranging our schooling to spend a bit more time with them when we can before they leave.

This party will remain open until the weekend. My hope is that everyone will share all sorts of wonderful posts: travel, recipes, how to's, crafting ideas, and more. Anything that is family friendly is welcome; even old posts that you'd like to get some new views for.

Yeah, it's really not a big deal to me... I'm so used to it. But I do find I only enjoy hosting a few times a year now instead of for every single holiday like I used to.
DeleteThanks for hosting, Joanne! Have a terrific week. (18? You've got to be kidding -- you're awesome!)
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteWow, dinner for 18! With a lot of helpers, that sounds fun! Happy Easter. Thank you for hosting this linkup!
ReplyDeleteI don't usually get many helpers with our meals so even just not having to buy all the food myself was a treat!
DeleteA last minute dinner for 18 people???? Wow! I wouldnt be able to pull that off unless it was fish n chips at the park! I only have a table for four and enough cutlery/bowls/plates for 8! Minimal living over here. I'd get anxiety if that many people showed up to my little house!
ReplyDeleteLOL! We have hosted most holiday since moving into this house 20+ years ago and we have a large family so I am well versed in prepping food for a crowd. We have a nice large house that easily accommodates everyone (more so than anyone else in my family at least).
DeleteJoanne, I didn't know you host a link up. Now I do so I'm bookmarking you to my Link up bookmark. I'll be stopping by for sure.
ReplyDeleteVisiting today from SSPS 304 #28&29
Oh I am so glad to hear you'll be stopping by from now on!
