Prime Purchases I Made in March

Happy April Fool's day to you! It's the first Monday of the month and time for Prime Purchases with Tanya.  I was doing so well with my Amazon purchases right up until the end of the month when we decided to host Easter dinner at our house and I felt like I "needed" so much not having any Easter decorations at all.

I bought a few new cardigans for this "in between" season and really love this cable knit one so much it's all I can do to keep myself from buying a second one!

I also like this gray one... but I find myself wishing I had bought it a different color since it's not very "spring" feeling.

Evan needed some new hiking shoes and we really wanted something waterproof this year but our local shoe stores didn't have anything that worked so we turned to Amazon and he found this pair that he really likes.

I've been working on lots of scrapbook pages and I needed to buy some more of these adhesive refills and Cricut cutting mats.

Since I've been trying to cut back on processed foods I started making my own fries and bought this French fry cutter.

I've been reading up a lot on following a plant based diet and it's recommended that anyone not eating much animal products take a vitamin B-12 supplement so I'm trying these drops

I was running low on my favorite deodorant so I bought some more.

Tanya mentioned this butter holder to me that allows us to use real sticks of butter and yet still be able to spread it on toast without adding any oil or anything to it so we had to buy one and try it out.

My husband's uniforms are provided and washed by a uniform company which means he has to transport them back and forth to work. The hamper he was using broke so I found this one to try; it looks nice and sturdy but still soft enough to fit decently in his truck.

Alec's school is hosting a fundraising bingo night and we offered to take the older two boys (since you have to be 18 to play) but my mother in law insisted we all needed to bring our own daubers so I bought this set for us all to share.

I bought some paper plates, cups, and these coordinating bowls for hosting Easter dinner.

I also bought this pretty plaid tablecloth and some new hand towels.

I bought some fake flowers, candle holders, and Easter decorations for our table too (we actually use two tables to seat us all so I needed enough for both).

    1. Thanks! Sadly it is definitely not too hot for cardigans here... not yet anyway.

  3. Interested in how that french fry cutter works! I am also curious about the b12. I have heard many people are deficient.

    1. I think the B-12 taste pretty gross but just 4 drops on the tongue (or mixed into water) is all it takes.

  4. I love all your Easter decor/eating utensils that you bought! I feel like I bought a lot last month, but I forgot about this link party today. I'll write mine later this morning!

    1. Thank you! That French Fry cutter reminded me of one my father used when I was growing up... though he made it look much easier to use.

  7. I need to know about this butter dish. i made butter with heavy cream and it is so hard to spread. This would be wonderful it is makes it soft. How is the fry cutter. I like the concept but I would be afraid it is to hard to use. I struggle with the apple cutter that does slices.

    1. The butter dish keeps the butter nice and soft since it can stay on the counter and doesn't need to be refrigerated. I do think the fry cutter takes a bit of muscle!

  8. These are some great finds! Love those pretty Easter hand towels! Had no idea a french fry cutter exists. I always just use a knife to cut potatoes "french fry style" so I might look into this little tool. The butter dish sounds interesting, maybe I should look into that too. I always keep a stick of fresh butter in the cupboard out of the fridge so it can be easily spread. But I always feel like it's a bit risky in the summertime and it can get a bit too soft. (Never gotten sick from it yet over all these years, but it probably would be a good idea to store in such a container in the summer.)

    1. Thank you! The fry cutter is much quicker than using a knife (which is what I usually did too). I read up on the butter bell before using it and I did like the science behind it.

  17. I don't host Easter but I always host Good Friday and realized on Thursday night that I didn't have anything Easter-ish for my table! I made do with a bunch of Trader Joe's flowers that I reworked into arrangements but you've inspired me to go on Amazon and get some stuff now for next year!

  20. I really like that cable cardigan! I didn't know you had to add oil to butter if you left it out. I always just leave it out in my butter dish. I've probably been doing that wrong for decades!

  26. I love your "Mint" green sweater. It's perfect for spring. And that butter dish sounds interesting, but we've always left our covered butter dish sit out on the counter and we've never had any issues. We've done it that way for 35+ years and no one has gotten sick yet. ha ha.
