My 10 Favorite Amazon Purchases of January
I've really been trying to cut back on our Amazon spending but I think I failed this month. On top of the household things like cleaning products, Ziploc bags, trash bags, toilet paper, etc. I found myself turning to Amazon quite a bit for some out of the ordinary things and then ended up treating myself to a few belated Christmas gifts using some gift cards I had.
*none of these are affiliate links but just in case you want to check them out for yourself I've included links*
The bowls that came with our kitchen set were all chipped and I've been putting off replacing them because I didn't want to have to replace all the plates too. Well, Ian found these bowls on Amazon and they are a pretty close match so I ordered them and we are really liking them!
Alec is presenting an entire Greek menu at school later this month and needed some decorative glass cups to hold his panna cotta. He picked out this set
My favorite shampoo and conditioner has not been available for quite some time and I had used this Maui Moisture set that I found at our grocery store and I just loved it but it's nearly 1/2 the price on Amazon so I added it to my subscribe and save orders.
My body wash changed a bit and I no longer enjoy the smell of the one I've been using so I ordered these to try-- they smell amazing!
I had some gift cards and bought myself these pretty sparkly barrettes/hair clips. They are larger than I thought but I love them.
I "needed" a maxi skirt for a fashion post coming up this month and I found this lovely denim one. I'm actually excited to wear it; it fits great.
I really wanted to wear this 2-piece set on the plane for our trip but it didn't come in until we came home. I was going to return it but it really is quite comfy and cute.
My fuzzy socks from last winter got a hole in them so I ordered this 3 pack and they are oh so cozy!
Lastly, I bought myself this calligraphy book hoping to entice myself to break out the calligraphy set I got LAST Christmas and have only used once!
Evan's dermatologist recommended he slather his hands with Vaseline at night and then cover them with some cotton gloves. We bought him this set in medium and he saw immediate results with his eczema. I went right back and ordered them in a large for Alec to try.

Love the bowls, the set, and the barrettes especially! You had a good month!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThe bowls are really pretty and good on your for having another go at calligraphy - I did some for a while and have lost my momentum.... but I hope to get back to it before too much longer. I never buy things with Amazon - it's more an American pastime, but I can see the value in it if items are cheaper than in the stores.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a whole lot of stores around us (I drive nearly 30 minutes just to grocery shop) so when I have already checked 2 different stores for things like Evan's gloves I usually give up and just go to Amazon. But, yeah Amazon really has become second nature to me and I do see how that's more of an American thing but their free shipping right to my door makes it hard to beat.
DeleteLove those bowls and the cotton gloves are a great idea! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love the bowls and your 'plane outfit' looks really comfy :)

Thank you!
DeleteThe bowls are beautiful! And I should get Dave some gloves to wear at night because his hands get so bad in winter.
ReplyDeleteYes! I don't know why it took me so long to get them gloves; I had a girlfriend that used to wear them in winter because her fingers would crack and bleed and she swore by them.
DeleteWhat a fun month of Amazon prime! I do like the pink suit, it’s adorable and it does look comfy.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo many good things Joanne! That two piece set is really pretty and cute on you!
ReplyDeletexo,
Kellyann
Aw, thanks!
DeleteI have the feeling we're all going to be featuring denim maxi skirts this month based on all the comments/blog posts I've been reading. That's ok, as they are super trending right now. The vaseline/white glove trick really works! And I bought a lot on Amazon this month too: mostly vitamins and cookbooks.
ReplyDeleteWe buy almost all of our vitamins through them too!
DeleteI love those bowls. That set for the plane looks so cozy
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI really like the bowls!
ReplyDeleteThey came in a few different colors and patterns but I just loved this combo.
DeleteYou got some nice items this month Joanne. I like the bowls and the pink set looks so cute and comfy.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSure is amazing the variety you can get from one website! Love the bowls and hair clips, so fun.
ReplyDeleteIt really is!
DeleteLots of fun buys this month! Love the bowls.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove the fuzzy socks. The bowls are really nice too. Enjoy using them.
ReplyDeleteThank you! We have been getting lots of use out them already with soup season upon us.
DeleteYou got some great finds here! I may have to give that shampoo/conditioner a try. Not unhappy with my current one but it's not specifically for curly/wavy hair so I'm interested to see how my naturally wavy hair will do with this.
ReplyDeleteI'm not one to wear a sweatsuit but it looks really nice on you.
I really only wear them around the house usually; and it worked out well that the set didn't arrive in time since I used that cardigan I wore on the plane nearly every night for dinner over my dresses/outfits to combat the cold A/C.
DeleteSo many great finds this month. I love switching up my hair/body products since it can feel like a lifestyle refresh just when we need it. The gloves are a good idea. Eczema is the worst! Thanks for linking up with Prime Purchases!
ReplyDeleteI do too; I'm slowly trying to find more natural products and ditch all the chemicals (though it can be tough to tell online which is which sometimes!).
DeleteOk I am kind of obsessed with those bowls. Wish I hadn't seen them- ha! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Sorry!
DeleteI love the smell of coconut. I bet the body wash smells so good.
ReplyDeleteOh I do too! Give me all the coconut/pineapple scented things. Anything that reminds me of the tropics or the beach is a huge hit.
DeleteThose bowls are so pretty. And so is your plane outfit. Hope you enjoy using everything.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove you in that pink. I really like the Maui hair masks so I’ll have to try the shampoo and conditioner.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteThose cotton gloves are a game-changer! It's so dry here that those are on heavy rotation to keep our skin from peeling off haha
ReplyDeleteOH I bet!
DeleteWhat fantastic buys!
ReplyDeleteI love those hair clips, they're so cute and the two piece set looks so comfy. I love the colour too.
Thank you!
DeleteI love the pannacotta glass cups, they would look lovely for serving. I've only seen the white cups but I prefer these clear glass ones. You made the right decision not to send your pink two-piece back. It looks great on you!

Thanks!
DeleteThat is a great denim skirt!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for one like that for awhile so I was thrilled to have finally found one.

ReplyDeleteThey are so nice and cozy.
DeleteIt looks like I agree with everyone else, those bowls are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove the bowls, but I can't wait to see that denim skirt! I have been trying to find the perfect denim skirt, but I haven't found it yet! Yours is really goooood!

Yes! I have been too; I didn't want one that was too fitted because I find those so uncomfortable.
DeleteLove the cozy socks and the bowls are beautiful. You were lucky to find something that matches what you already have. Those sheets I picked up do help but they don't stop the hot flashes LOL.
ReplyDeleteDarn! LOL... but I did kind of figure that.
DeleteThe bowls are beautiful! Sounds like you needed everything you bought and shopping at Amazon is so much easier than going out. Great shopping this month!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love a good blue jean skirt!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteMy hands get so dry at this time of year. I can't wait to try those cotton gloves!
ReplyDeleteI hope they help!
DeleteSo many great purchases. I really love those cosy socks

ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteYou got so many good things. I need to check out quite a few of these links! Love you in the comfy sweat sut. I'm glad you kept it! The body wash and shampoo sound interesting. My cozy socks always wear out so I need to check yours out!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm glad I kept it too.
DeleteOh, I am loving those bowls!

Thanks!
DeleteThose sparkly hair clips are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI am loving them!
DeleteI have failed miserably at cutting back on Amazon!!
ReplyDeleteI try so hard but usually after I'm checking the second store for something I have in mind I give up and just search for it on Amazon (often while I'm still in the store!).
DeleteLooks like these are some very great deals. Good job.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
