Currently in February (2024)
In February, we'll be sharing what we're currently loving, looking forward to, doing to be romantic, changing, and celebrating.
Loving: The sun same out this past weekend and we actually got to see some blue skies! We hadn't seen the sun in nearly 2 weeks by that point so I was loving it.
Looking Forward to: These next two weekends are both long weekends with the Monday holidays and I am looking forward to sleeping in!
Doing to be Romantic: I made some handmade Valentine's cards for my boys/husband and put together a tiny little gift bag of sweets for them all.
Changing: My hairstyle; just a bit. I've been toying with making major hair changes but then I think about how long it's taken me to grow out and so I decided to just add a few wispy bangs for now while keep the length and adding in some more layers.. I think I like it.
Celebrating: We're hoping to have a belated birthday party for Alec this weekend. I can't believe we'll be celebrating his 18th birthday nearly a full month late! But between my husband and I having been sick last month and my mother in law's surgery it's the best we can do. Now I'm just crossing my fingers everyone stays well until then!
Linking up with: Fine/Whatever,
Hello adorable bangs! Your haircut is super cute. As are the cards that you made for Valentine´s Day. We saw the sun recently for the first time in a long time as well. Have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I'm having fun playing with styling it both straight and curly.
DeleteLove your hair and that awesome turtleneck!!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you! I have LOTS of turtleneck sweaters.
DeleteI love the bangs! I have also thought about doing that, but I'm scared!
ReplyDeleteThanks! My hair dresser is quite used to me cutting them and then growing them... and them cutting them in again. I also have a tendency to let my hair grow to my shoulders and then cutting it to my chin only to want to grow it out again! LOL
DeleteLove the new hair and I am happy to see more sun too. These Valentine's are beautiful!

DeleteEnjoying the sun too! Pretty bangs and I always love when other have long hair. It just doesn't work too well for me, so I have found the length that works.

I tend to play around with my length and my hair a lot; I figure it's just hair and it's easy enough to grow and cut and change styles.
DeleteYour hair looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Deleteoh my gosh, Joanne, these cards are so beautiful! i've hardly thought about Valentine's Day and so you're giving me a needed nudge to shift gears a bit. your creativity is inspiring ... and that snapshot of you is so cute!!

DeleteA very nice photo on top of your post. And nice cards. And your hair fits you well, but I think you know it. Have a good time and all the best
ReplyDeleteVioletta
Thank you! I'm having fun playing around with how best to style it; it usually takes me a few days to really feel like I know what I'm doing.
DeleteLove the hair! And what cute cards.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Delete2 weeks without the sun?! Oh my! It's been quite dreary here lately, too, but we've had abundant sunshine the last two days and it's been glorious!
ReplyDeleteYep, my husband's favorite saying is "cloudy and gray 'til May!"... and it does often feel that way in winter.
DeleteLove the wispy bangs! I go through spurts of wanting them and hating them! We finally have had some sunny days here, too. It's been so good for my spirit!

Thank you; I am the same way with my hair!
DeleteI remember the days of long weekends and how I eagerly anticipated them. Now every day is a long weekend (which isn't bad either!)
ReplyDeleteI had that for 8 long years when we were homeschooling so having a kid in a public high school has been a rude awakening these past 4 years! LOL! But next year he'll be gone and in college so I know I don't have many more of these early mornings and days of making lunches left.
DeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteJoanne,
ReplyDeleteLove your hair!! It really looks good on you!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you are having a good week!!
Hugs,

ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!
DeleteLove the bangs. You look fantastic, Joanne.
ReplyDeleteAnd the cards are beautiful.
Hugs and blessings
Aw, thank you so much!
DeleteThose homemade cards are gorgeous! I'd love to learn paper crafts someday (like when I retire and have time to even think about another hobby). Love the hairstyle too. I grew out my bangs during the pandemic, and while I'm glad to be rid of them, sometimes I think, well, a few wouldn't hurt. Then I remember how awful I looked growing them out.
ReplyDeleteYes, growing them out is the worst! (and yet I do it to myself all the time!). I picked up cardmaking in high school and began scrapping while I was in college and honestly I'm pretty surprised I'm still at it!
DeleteI love you hair like that! And what a lovely valentine idea.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteYour hair looks fab - it really suits you! And the Valentine's cards are very cute. You're very clever! x

ReplyDeleteThose Valentine's day cards are so cute and I love your new hair do.
Have a wonderful time celebrating Alec's birthday.
Thank you! I shirked my cake making duties today to go on a nice long 2 hour hike while the weather was nice and I don't even mind that I'll have to do double duty tomorrow. It was totally worth it.
DeleteHappy birthday Alec - hope you have a great time celebrating! Even a month late...it still counts:) Your bangs look super cute!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Luckily he is old enough to understand and not really care.
DeleteThe cards are so sweet. We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. But hunny makes all the other days special. Have a super weekend xx Jacqui. Mummabstylish.

DeleteI like the bangs, looks good & suits you. Not to much of a drastic hair change but a little noticeable change indeed. The cards are Valentine festive perfect especially with the added chocolates. Oh gracious, how gloomy not having the sun can be for too many days at a time.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo many of us mentioned loving the blue skies and sunny days when we got them recently! I'm considering changing my hair too, but I'm not sure how. I think you made the right choice adding the bangs - it looks great!!
