Currently in February (2024)

In February, we'll be sharing what we're currently loving, looking forward to, doing to be romantic, changing, and celebrating

Loving: The sun same out this past weekend and we actually got to see some blue skies! We hadn't seen the sun in nearly 2 weeks by that point so I was loving it.

Looking Forward to: These next two weekends are both long weekends with the Monday holidays and I am looking forward to sleeping in!

Doing to be Romantic: I made some handmade Valentine's cards for my boys/husband and put together a tiny little gift bag of sweets for them all.

Changing: My hairstyle; just a bit. I've been toying with making major hair changes but then I think about how long it's taken me to grow out and so I decided to just add a few wispy bangs for now while keep the length and adding in some more layers.. I think I like it.

Celebrating: We're hoping to have a belated birthday party for Alec this weekend.  I can't believe we'll be celebrating his 18th birthday nearly a full month late!  But between my husband and I having been sick last month and my mother in law's surgery it's the best we can do.  Now I'm just crossing my fingers everyone stays well until then!

    1. Thanks! My hair dresser is quite used to me cutting them and then growing them... and them cutting them in again. I also have a tendency to let my hair grow to my shoulders and then cutting it to my chin only to want to grow it out again! LOL

    1. I tend to play around with my length and my hair a lot; I figure it's just hair and it's easy enough to grow and cut and change styles.

    1. Yep, my husband's favorite saying is "cloudy and gray 'til May!"... and it does often feel that way in winter.

    1. I had that for 8 long years when we were homeschooling so having a kid in a public high school has been a rude awakening these past 4 years! LOL! But next year he'll be gone and in college so I know I don't have many more of these early mornings and days of making lunches left.

  22. Those homemade cards are gorgeous! I'd love to learn paper crafts someday (like when I retire and have time to even think about another hobby). Love the hairstyle too. I grew out my bangs during the pandemic, and while I'm glad to be rid of them, sometimes I think, well, a few wouldn't hurt. Then I remember how awful I looked growing them out.

    1. Yes, growing them out is the worst! (and yet I do it to myself all the time!). I picked up cardmaking in high school and began scrapping while I was in college and honestly I'm pretty surprised I'm still at it!
