My Favorite Papercrafts of the Year

It's the end of the year and for the last year or two I've been joining in with  Simply Ellibelle for her favorite papercrafts of the year link up.  I love looking back at all the papercrafts I've created and seeing which ones are favorites.  In my post I've included both cards and scrapbook pages.  It seems like I was quite creative this year!

    You are so talented. My aunt is a Stampin' Up rep, and the cards she sends (as well as my mom and Gma's) are ones that I save. They are always so thoughtful and pretty.

      I found all the Harry Potter things on the Cricut Design Space website and cut/pieced them together myself.

    Your wonderful scrapbook pages always make me wish I never stopped scrapbooking, they are such a beautiful way to document highlights of the year! These are all wonderful and you made such beautiful cards too! All so unique. The Easter card might be my favorite of your cards but it's so hard to choose!

    Woah, your creativity with both cards and scrapbooking is OTT wonderful! Love it all! I got into cards after my kids refused to have photos taken of them and I do miss it. Such a creative way to remember the moments we so often forget. It is great to participate in this blog hop with you! Happy New Year!

    Joanne, these are all amazing! I went to a scrapbooking (sales) party many years ago. It was so overwhelming to me. I ended up buying something and gave it to my friend who did scrapbook.

Friday Favorites: Girls Trip to Nashville Days 1 & 2

By far my favorite part of the week was my girl's trip to the Nashville/Franklin area of Tennessee!  Last Friday I landed in Nashville, Tennessee around 3 pm after an easy morning commute and flight (made so easy because I had no car and my mom drove me to the airport dropping me off curbside). I was meeting up with some blogging friends in real life:  Marilyn from Memphis Bridges,   Jennifer from Overflowing with Thankfulness,  and Tanya from The Other Side of the Road.   By the time I had even picked up my bags I had gotten a text from Marilyn and Jennifer that they were parking the car.  We met up in baggage claim and they had made the cutest welcome sigh for both me and Tanya.  We had a few minutes before meeting up with Tanya and then headed to our rental house in Franklin.  It was adorable and in a lovely little quiet area.  Tanya brought a cute little gift bag of goodies for each of us; seriously these ladies are just the sweetest and I am so, so glad I decided to fly off

Day in the Life: Friday Favorites

 I decided to document last Friday for today's Friday Favorites post. I hardly ever document a day in the life anymore now that my boys are grown and mostly on their own. But I knew we had a pretty full day and thought it might be fun.  These are some of my favorite posts to read and I think I did a pretty great job remembering to document and take pictures for the whole day! 5:00 wake up and I allow myself to blog, read emails, etc. until 5:30 5:30 get up, get dressed for the gym, put away my laundry from the night before, make the bed. 5:45 head downstairs to make Alec's lunch (1/2 way though he came to the balcony to tell me he wasn't going to school since he wasn't feeling well-- he's 18 and allowed to make this call himself).  I decided to make a salad, some chicken salad, hard boil some eggs, and cut up all the fruit since we had just done groceries after dinner last night and none of that had been done yet. I emptied, reloaded, and restarted the dishwasher.

Share 4 Somethings in April

Tomorrow is the last Saturday of the month and time for Share 4 Somethings with Jennifer. This year we're sharing some things we've  loved and/or disliked, accomplished, some things we've improved upon and/or that need improvement, and noticed Loved/Disliked:  I know you are all probably sick of hearing me talking about it but I seriously had the best time meeting up these lovely ladies in Nashville. It was definitely a big highlight of the month!  I loved seeing mother nature put on a show this month too; we had the most incredible sunrise one day and, of course, seeing the eclipse was really neat too (even if we weren't in the path of totality). I disliked not having a car for most of the month. My car is less than 2 years old and has been in the shop for a couple of weeks while they fixed the flex hoses and muffler.
