Wordless Wednesday: Finishing Up Fall in New England
With my last Wordless Wednesday post on October 18th I shared some of the beautiful fall views we had been enjoying. We were so lucky to have some really lovely weather this fall and while the leaves are pretty much all down now I had a few weeks worth of hikes and photos left to share.
Mashamoquet Brook State Park:
Gorgeous photos! The weather has been really nice this fall so far!
ReplyDeleteThank you! We have had a lovely fall; the weekends have been very rainy but the week days have been mostly sunny and beautiful.
DeleteSuch beautiful pics of fall- love how you capture every season outdoors!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo lovely! I wish it wasn't such a pain for us to get out of the city and see all the leaves.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteEvery single view is gorgeous! Love the lakeside reflections, and who wouldn't enjoy that beautiful walk to the mailbox!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks!
DeleteThe leaf colors against the blue sky is my favorite to see!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteBeautiful photos. What a lovely part of the country you live in.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteThese photos are beautiful! It was interesting to notice how lovely the at-first-glance "plain, boring brown" of a bare tree looks against the brilliance of a bright blue sky - the subtle varieties in color and texture of the tree are actually quite nice when you pay attention.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think so too.
DeleteSo pretty! The colors are just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo pretty! We've had a spectacular fall here too this year. I'm currently on my back deck with a cup of hot tea. I love it!
ReplyDeleteLovely! We put all our deck/patio furniture away for the winter so I don't really get to sit out there anymore.
DeleteLove the fall/autumn or whatever you call this season colors.

DeleteI just love fall, Joanne, and you captured it beautifully. Thanks for sharing your art with us.
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteI got to see some fall color in Alabama and Georgia this weekend. It looks like you had a gorgeous autumn!
ReplyDeleteYay for you!
DeleteIt looks like you have lots of different varieties of trees to give you so many different colors. How far do you have to drive to most of these places? They are all so beautiful. Thanks for sharing them.

For our daily hikes we try to keep the drive to under/around 30 minutes (which is what all of these photos are). If we're meeting friends or meeting up with our hiking group we might drive 45mins to an hour but so far that has not been happening this fall as it seems to rain every time we have a hike scheduled.
DeleteGosh, the colors are just glorious.

Nature really is at its finest this time of year.
DeleteHi Joanne, those are such beautiful photos! Fall (or Autumn as we call it here) is my favourite time of year. I adore the colours and love Autumn leaves. We don't get much of that here in tropical Queensland so I often travel south to colder states to experience it and enjoy it. Thanks so much for linking up with #WWWhimsy Have a fabulous week!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo very beautiful. Love to be in a forest now.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteStunning pics, Joanne! I love the fall colours against the bright blue sky. I think fall is my favourite season - it's just so colourful!

DeleteWhen the sun is out, even the bare-branches of fall look beautiful. And those colors -- I think you hit it at a good time!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteWow, so very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYou do have some amazing views! I love all of the colours at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks!

DeleteBeautiful pics! What a gorgeous place to be.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteGorgeous fall foliage! The colors down here in the south haven't been as vibrant this year which is a bummer.
ReplyDeleteThank you. We had a really wet fall so on those days the sun was shining our colors really did pop.
DeleteI love all the photographs! I miss our lovely trees and colors. *sniff* They are all naked and sad right now. Ha. My kids say we need some snow to make them pretty again and while I am not a fan of that s word...I have to agree.
ReplyDeletewww.lisahoweler.com
Thank you! Ours are all naked and sad now too and while I feel the same way about the "s" word I too can't argue that it sure does make the landscape look prettier.
DeleteHi, Joanne. First, all of these images are so colorful and pretty. My fav of this set is the 4th one down from top. It just grabbed me. If these were taken with your galaxy s21, I am amazed. Phones are getting so much better. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteTake care and best wishes.
Aw, thank you! I can't really remember the last time I brought my camera with us out hiking so yeah, I'm pretty sure they were all taken with my camera.
