October's Prime Purchases

It's the first Monday of the month and time for Prime Purchases with Tanya.  I did buy a few Christmas gifts on Amazon already and I won't be sharing those (even though it is unlikely the people I bought them for would actually read my blog-- you can never be too careful!). We still get shipments each month for things like toilet paper, dishwasher soap, etc. (You can read about our recurring purchases here). But other than that it was a pretty slow month for Amazon shopping.

Evan's phone case broke on the way home from vacation so I purchased the exact same one again since it had held up really well for a few years and he likes it.

Alec needed more lotion and requested the blood orange scent this time; we also got some caramel pumpkin spice one that we both like this time of year.  (the same link works for multiple/both scents)

Evan needed some new shoelaces so we got this 3 pack.

The bathmats in our downstairs bathroom were starting to fall apart so I ordered these in black with a matching seat cover.

Alec had outgrown all of his casual pants so we bought a few pairs of Athletic pants for him (here and here).  These were perfect since I could pick the inseam size!

I saw these flare leggings with pockets on another blog and just had to try them-- I LOVE them so much.

Lastly we needed some more toner for our printer so we got this two-pack and should be set for awhile.

  1. Love the flare leggings with pockets! I may have to get a pair of those. Why did it take so long for leggings to come with pockets?? They should be as standard as pockets in jeans ;). I´ll bet the recurring purchases are so nice. I have never placed a recurring order but should probably consider doing that. Have a great Monday!

    1. Thanks! I don't understand why so many pants and dresses and things for women don't come with pockets!

  4. Be careful if you ever do yoga in flair leggings. My hand would sometimes be on the bottom of it and I wouldn't realize, so id try to move my leg and topple over haha

    1. Ha! I've always had flared yoga pants (though just not with pocket before!) so I've gotten real good at working out in them but thanks for the warning.

  6. I have bought quite a few gifts off Amazon over the last month. It's good when you find something that works well and lasts like the phone case. I have repurchased things like that in the past as I've been so impressed with them.

  7. Great buys, I may get the Underarmour pants for my son and the Flare Yoga pants for my daughter. My kids (teen/young adult) are hard to shop for for Christmas as they don't really want or need much but think these would be great.

  9. I love Dionis lotion - they make the smaller size tube that's great for your purse.

    1. It is so hard to find longer lengths in person... I had to start buying all of Alec's pants online when he was wearing a size 29" waist with a 34" inseam; which were just impossible to find locally. Now it's the first place I think to look for him.

  12. I too like the flare leggings and it's nice that they have pockets. I used to wear those types of leggings many years ago for working out.

  16. I've been giving amazon a bit of go since moving here and I enjoy its swift arrival of goods and the cheap(er) prices. My Dad needed some 'hospital socks' ..the ones with the dots, to wear around his place, and I was able to get them delivered to my brother's house for him to take to dad. Love your new pants too.

  18. Isn't it great and crazy at the same time how you really can get almost everything from Amazon??

  19. OHH - are those bath mats like the ones they promote for dogs - they absorb the water?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not really; I don't feel like they are that much more absorbent that the old bath mats we have.

  20. The leggings look great. My husband has a whole collection of shoe laces in all colors and changes them on his sneakers to match his belts. I haven't started gift shopping yet but should begin to think about it.

  21. Hi Jo - I'm always fascinated by people who do so much of their shopping online. I'm still wandering up and down the shopping centre aisles (I think it's a generational thing!) I wonder if shops will go the way of banks and slowly disappear over the next decade or two?

    1. We don't have many shops near us at all-- in fact our town doesn't have a single store. There are a handful of stores in other nearby towns but other than a Walmart, a few grocery stores, and a couple of pharmacies the next closest store is over 30 minutes away. I got frustrated with going from store to store looking for an item (like shoelaces) and not finding any.
