Encouraging Hearts and Home: Wreaths and Wall Hangings

I hope this first week of September has been treating you well!  We're slowly trying to get into a routine and began homeschooling Tuesday.  So far so good.  We had lots of fall like weather throughout much of August and I had been thinking of pullout out all our fall décor but September brought with it a huge heat wave that has left me sapped of all energy.  I'm still enjoying all the fall décor ideas though and thought I'd showcase a few of the wreaths and wall hanging ideas that were shared at last week's party.

      You know; those ribbon wreaths are a lot easier to make than they look. I bet you could do it!

    I am back!
    PS, I have visited several posted blogs in the party. However, some I could not leave a comment. I do not use Wordpress.com and do not like having to sign into Facebook or any other platform to leave a comment. I tried to follow this party's rules but.......

      Yeah, sometimes I find that happens to me too where I can't leave comments and I figure at least I tried! :) I've had a few people tell me they can't leave comments on my blog either. I'm not sure why all these blogging platforms are making it so hard.

      Me too! Somehow I don't mind it nearly as much when it's not during the school year and I can escape to the beach/ shoreline.

    All very pretty wreaths and I love the framed crochet plaques! I bought a really cheerful, large fall wreath full of sunflowers and pumpkins, in Home Depot of all places, for only $19. I was shopping there to buy lightbulbs...lol Thanks for hsting every week!

Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. And through the years I had SO MANY favorites! Friday Favorites: Girls Trip to Nashville Days 1 & 2

By far my favorite part of the week was my girl's trip to the Nashville/Franklin area of Tennessee!  Last Friday I landed in Nashville, Tennessee around 3 pm after an easy morning commute and flight (made so easy because I had no car and my mom drove me to the airport dropping me off curbside). I was meeting up with some blogging friends in real life:  Marilyn from Memphis Bridges,   Jennifer from Overflowing with Thankfulness,  and Tanya from The Other Side of the Road.   By the time I had even picked up my bags I had gotten a text from Marilyn and Jennifer that they were parking the car.  We met up in baggage claim and they had made the cutest welcome sigh for both me and Tanya.  We had a few minutes before meeting up with Tanya and then headed to our rental house in Franklin.  It was adorable and in a lovely little quiet area.  Tanya brought a cute little gift bag of goodies for each of us; seriously these ladies are just the sweetest and I am so, so glad I decided to fly off

10 on the 10th: 10 Things I May do in May

 It's time for the 10 on the 10th link up with Marsha and this month she's asked us to list 10 things we can and/or may do in May. 5 Things I CAN do now that it's May: 1. May is typically the time of year we CAN begin planting flowers and getting pots ready. I'm holding off until Memorial day weekend just in case we still have some cold frost-filled nights.  2. We CAN (sometimes!) eat outside now that May has arrived. We MAY have done that earlier this week for an early Mother's day lunch with my mom. And, no we did not plan our matching pink outfits. 3. I CAN finally enjoy some flowers blooming around the yard! (these are the only 3 plants blooming right now but I see buds and greenery on all the others too). 4. I CAN walk down the road to see my mom; the campground opens May first and while my parents haven't moved in just yet by the end of the month my mom will be at the campground most days and I love popping in to visit on my way back from picking up the
