Scrapbook Pages and Cards I Made in August

 Slowly but surely I am working my way through all the photos from the first of the year until the first of July and trying to get my scrapbooking pages done. I finished up our vacation to Acadia at the end of May so I know I just need to find a couple of empty weekends and I could easily get caught up. 

 I had quite a few cards to make this month too-- birthdays, thinking of you/cheer/get well for a neighbor that just found out they have cancer, and a back to school/fall card. Plus I got an order of "new" supplies in that I just HAD to play with!

    What fabulous cards and scrap book pages. I did try and I've made a few cards and did lovely scrap books when my babies were born. But I decided that I just didn't have the talent to make them as I wanted. That reminds me, I'm going to get all my stuff together and put them on a neighbourhood sharing site, see if someone else would like a go.

      Usually I don't make more than one of each design unless it's my Christmas cards but sometimes if I really love how a card turned out I'll make more (if I think of it!).

    You do lovely work, Joanne! I feel ashamed to admit I have a basement closet full of rubber stamps that I have not touched in years. I keep hoping my grandchildren would show interest in using them but after using them a few times they lost interest.

    your cards and scrap pages are wonderful. I do not have the patience to work on things like this. What I do is digital scrapping. It has to be easy for me to keep me interested. Your creations are very lovely!

Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. 10 on the 10th: 10 Things I May do in May

 It's time for the 10 on the 10th link up with Marsha and this month she's asked us to list 10 things we can and/or may do in May. 5 Things I CAN do now that it's May: 1. May is typically the time of year we CAN begin planting flowers and getting pots ready. I'm holding off until Memorial day weekend just in case we still have some cold frost-filled nights.  2. We CAN (sometimes!) eat outside now that May has arrived. We MAY have done that earlier this week for an early Mother's day lunch with my mom. And, no we did not plan our matching pink outfits. 3. I CAN finally enjoy some flowers blooming around the yard! (these are the only 3 plants blooming right now but I see buds and greenery on all the others too). 4. I CAN walk down the road to see my mom; the campground opens May first and while my parents haven't moved in just yet by the end of the month my mom will be at the campground most days and I love popping in to visit on my way back from picking up the

Some of My Favorite Shows and Movies I've Been Watching

A couple of times now I've tried to get into the habit of sharing a bit more regularly what we've been watching. I don't know about you but I often struggle with what to watch when one show ends... I try many shows and often get just an episode or a season in before I end up giving up on it.  Most of the shows we stream are NOT new shows. I tend to look for shows that have multiple seasons already lined up so once I get invested in the characters and storylines I don't have to wait around for new episodes to come out (but there are some shows we do watch as they air).  There have been a few shows we've really enjoyed lately. Royal Pains is our latest show we're watching and while we're only 1/2 way through season 2 I am really enjoying it:  Hank is a doctor that has retreated to the Hamptons to lick his wounds after losing his job, his fiancée, and most of his belongings. While there he gets hired on as a concierge doctor to the rich; a job he very reluctant
