In our house we celebrate Christmas and I almost called this my favorite Christmas songs... but then I had to add in Adam Sandler's Chanukah song as it always makes me smile and sing along!! I know I left plenty of this seasons songs that I enjoy and probably even love but these were the 10 songs that came to mind first.

5. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Darlene Love
6. Baby it's Cold Outside by Michael Buble and Idina Menzel
7. 12 Pains of Christmas by Bob Rivers
8. All I Want for Christmas by Mariah Carey
9. Mele Kalikimaka by Bing Crosby

Oh my Goodness! We have the same themed post today. I loved reading your list and it is completely different from mine. I wish you only Christmas music you love this week!

I can't wait to read yours!
DeleteI have not heard of a couple of these. I will have to check them out when others in the house aren't sleeping ;). I have many favorites but I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day may be my most favorite. I like the Casting Crowns version the best.
ReplyDeleteListening to I Heard the Bells right now; I had never heard of this song before but it's so pretty.
DeleteOh gosh friend, I love all these as well, I smile when I hear them all especially love Darlene Love, that’s my mom‘s favorite!
ReplyDeleteYes, these all make me smile... and want to sing along!
DeleteThese are some good ones! I have trouble picking favorites!
ReplyDeleteI thought I would too (and I'm sure I forgot quite a few).
DeleteOh I love so many of these- this post brought me joy - thank you :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteThe Hanukkah Song is so random and funny. Very catchy too.
ReplyDeleteI like Adam's Turkey song too; he was a funny singer/songwriter.
DeleteMy most recent favorite Christmas songs are Gwen Stefani's Christmas album. She has some fun songs on that.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard any of her Christmas songs before.
DeleteSome of these I haven't heard of! What a great list! Adding these to my spotify; I love listening to Christmas music while wrapping gifts (which I have not done yet lol)....
ReplyDeleteI tend to watch Christmas movies while wrapping and listen to Christmas music while driving.
DeleteNOOOO nNOOOO NOOOOOO - not the Christmas Shoes. I cringe every time that song comes on. Its HORRIBLE... lets talk about a mom dying at Christmas - LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL! It makes me cry every single time but I do love it because it is so sweet.
DeleteI haven't heard of several of these songs. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteHow funny, we were just trying to come up with our favorite Christmas song yesterday. Our picks were a tad more traditional, LOL
ReplyDeleteXOOX
Jodie
Care to share some of them?
DeleteNever heard of the Adam Sandler song! I love Christmas songs!
ReplyDeleteI do too!
DeleteI thought I knew all of the Christmas songs but you have mentioned a few that I've never heard of before. x
ReplyDeleteI like to seek out more original songs.
DeleteAll great ones!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI just saw the original Adam Sandler skit on a SNL Christmas special...such a classic. He looked SOOO young in the clip!
ReplyDeleteHe does look so incredibly young!!
DeleteYou have some great picks here! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI like the Michael Buble's and Mariah Carey's songs that you mentioned. Thank you for your weekend coffee share. Merry Christmas to you and your family. See you in 2023.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI haven't heard of some of these, but I agree with you about Adam Sandler's song! We were listening to the radio the other day, and the dj said Mariah Carey's song took several years to hit number 1! It came out in the 90s, but just hit number 1 in 2019, I think! I think my favorite Christmas song would probably be O Holy Night sung by Josh Groban!

I do remember it when it came out in the 90's and I only knew one guy that really loved it (but I'm pretty sure he had a crush on Mariah herself!).
DeleteHi Joanne - great songs - I think mine is Gloria in Excelsis, Mary Did You Know, and Last Christmas by Wham - very different songs but for some reason they always make me think of Christmas. Have a great Christmas with your family. x
ReplyDeleteOh yes, those are all quite different.. but equally good! I remember singing Gloria in Excelsis in high school.
DeleteI love all these songs too! The only one I haven't heard of is Adam Sandler's Chanukah song. I will have to search it on Spotify
ReplyDeleteRuth@playworkeatrepeat
It's really funny; he's quite the character.
DeleteNice selection! Rocking around the Christmas tree and Jingle bell rock are my all time favourites!
ReplyDeleteI have so many great memories associated with those songs too.
Delete"Baby Please Come Home" has been my JAM this year for some reason. Not that you can ever go wrong with Darlene Love! Also, because I know you love Elf, check out the song "Christmas Island"--Leon Redbone's version is playing in the background when Buddy asks Jovie out. I woke up with the melody stuck in my head one day (fitting, because I've watched Elf about 50x this year) and then did some digging!
ReplyDeleteOh; good to know! I will check that out.
DeleteI love 1, 7, 8 and 10!! I just listened to the Hannukah Song last night! Too funny. But, my all time favorite Christmas song is Dream Child by Transiberian Orchestra. Check it out on YouTube or Spotify..
ReplyDeleteI will; thanks for the recommendation!
DeleteLovely choice of Christmas songs and some new ones for me too! I do love Rockin Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee. Also reminds me of Home Alone! :)
ReplyDeleteYes! I love songs that remind me of my favorite Christmas movies too.
DeleteRockin around the Christmas Tree is such a classic and perfect for this list. I would say Wham! Last Christmas is another classic that plays constantly on my holiday list. Loved these songs you shared for Christmas. Check out my epic coffee maker review. https://www.bauchlefashion.com/2022/12/coffee-maker-guru-my-review-on.html
ReplyDeleteI think I've heard Wham!'s Last Christmas each time I've gotten in my car this year. It is one of those classic songs and I enjoy. I've heard great things about Nespresso; but I don't drink coffee (I did click over and check out your post though!).
DeleteWhat a fun post! I love Michael Buble and his whole holiday album is one of my favorites! I also love Adam Sandler’s Hanukkah song! Lauren from Don’t Mind Our Mess
ReplyDeleteThank you! I fully admit I stole this idea from another blogger. :)
DeleteSo many good ones! Hadley is a big fan of Christmas songs, so they have been on in our car for over a month. I always love "Dreaming of a White Christmas" and "Walking in a Winter wonderland"
ReplyDeleteWalking in a Winter Wonderland is a fun one... but I'm picky about which versions of songs I listen to.
DeleteThat is a good list. Very nice. Here are mine: https://csuhpat1.blogspot.com/2022/12/and-on-third-monday-of-christmas.html
ReplyDeleteHeading to check them out now!
DeleteI love that All I Want for Christmas by Mariah Carey made your list! That is one of my all-time faves! I've loved it since I was a little girl!
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful song to sing along to!
DeleteIt's January 1st and I'm finally getting around to a few blogs to comment. My Spotify Christmas playlist is HUGE. I love Christmas music and my list is very eclectic! Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year!
