10 of My Favorite Holiday Songs

In our house we celebrate Christmas and I almost called this my favorite Christmas songs... but then I had to add in Adam Sandler's Chanukah song as it always makes me smile and sing along!!  I know I left plenty of this seasons songs that I enjoy and probably even love but these were the 10 songs that came to mind first.

    I have not heard of a couple of these. I will have to check them out when others in the house aren't sleeping ;). I have many favorites but I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day may be my most favorite. I like the Casting Crowns version the best.

    I haven't heard of some of these, but I agree with you about Adam Sandler's song! We were listening to the radio the other day, and the dj said Mariah Carey's song took several years to hit number 1! It came out in the 90s, but just hit number 1 in 2019, I think! I think my favorite Christmas song would probably be O Holy Night sung by Josh Groban!

    Hi Joanne - great songs - I think mine is Gloria in Excelsis, Mary Did You Know, and Last Christmas by Wham - very different songs but for some reason they always make me think of Christmas. Have a great Christmas with your family. x

    "Baby Please Come Home" has been my JAM this year for some reason. Not that you can ever go wrong with Darlene Love! Also, because I know you love Elf, check out the song "Christmas Island"--Leon Redbone's version is playing in the background when Buddy asks Jovie out. I woke up with the melody stuck in my head one day (fitting, because I've watched Elf about 50x this year) and then did some digging!

    I love 1, 7, 8 and 10!! I just listened to the Hannukah Song last night! Too funny. But, my all time favorite Christmas song is Dream Child by Transiberian Orchestra. Check it out on YouTube or Spotify..

    Rockin around the Christmas Tree is such a classic and perfect for this list. I would say Wham! Last Christmas is another classic that plays constantly on my holiday list.       I think I've heard Wham!'s Last Christmas each time I've gotten in my car this year. It is one of those classic songs and I enjoy. I've heard great things about Nespresso; but I don't drink coffee (I did click over and check out your post though!).

    So many good ones! Hadley is a big fan of Christmas songs, so they have been on in our car for over a month. I always love "Dreaming of a White Christmas" and "Walking in a Winter wonderland"

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Movies like Mom's Night Out, Christmas Vacation, and Grown Ups make me laugh out loud. 7.  When my boys were youn

Dorm Move In & Alec's Dorm Photos

 Alec and I loaded up the car Wednesday morning. I was literally unable to sleep the night before thinking there was no way we were going to fit all his stuff ( see yesterday's post! ) into my car. But first try we got it all to fit! There wasn't really any room to spare but that's okay, we all fit and so did everything he wanted to bring with him.  Since Alec is in the honors program he got to move in 2 days before the rest of the school (on Thursday).. which meant we didn't hear a whole lot from the school on what to expect for move in day. We were told to be there anywhere between 10 am and 7 pm so we decided to shoot for the 10 am and give ourselves plenty of time. His roommate wouldn't be moving in until Saturday and Alec will have a full day of activities and meetings today (on Friday).  We did label everything with Alec's name, dorm name, and room # just in case and printed out a parking pass (again, just in case)-- none of which we needed to do but were
