Our House All Decked Out for Fall

I haven't shared many photos of our house decked out for fall in a few years since I had mostly the same decorations in mostly the same places.  However, this year with our first fall with a finished basement and furniture I knew I needed to buy some more decorations and spread them out/ mix them up a bit.

I went to Michael's & TJ Maxx and made out quite well!

I kept most of the same elements for the front door as last year-- our fall welcome mat, the wreath I made (this one from 2018 is still holding up so well!), and my Welcome Autumn sign (click here for a quick tutorial) with my white plastic pumpkins.  This year I went with yellow mums.

Since the plants in my planters are still looking pretty good I decided to leave them for now.

I decorated the mantle first in the living room then scattered a few signs and pumpkins near the fireplace and around our plant stand.

I set two throw pillows on the couch..

Then moved onto the kitchen where I placed a few pumpkins and things on our plant stand and windowsill.

In our formal dining/living room I used these old mason jar luminaries (my boys made these in 2015- check out the post here!) and turned them into vases with some fake flowers.

I then scattered some signs, pumpkins, throw pillows, and assorted potpourri around the room blending them in with some fake flowers and leaves.

I loved this potpourri I found with tiny pumpkins and pinecones all scented in cinnamon.

The inside of our front door was decorated with a Happy Harvest sign and this cute little welcome sign with it's orange leaf.

In our basement I decided to make two clusters of fall themed items on each end of the kitchen countertop.

In the main part of the room I moved the table back behind the couch and set out some little touches on each of the end tables, coffee table, and console.

For the large round coffee table I found this large round basket and placed some large potpourri and a jar candle inside.

I love these pumpkins that are covered with cable-knit yarn.

This pillow was soo soft and too cute to pass up!

The twig pumpkin does light up but I haven't remembered to put the batteries in yet!

  1. Such pretty fall decor! I love the cable knit yarn covered pumpkins as well. I really like any unique spin on the traditional pumpkin- for instance, I also really like the teal(ish) looking pumpkin in your last photo. The shape and color are both unique which I love. All of the touches are so pretty and you're ready to enjoy the fall inside and out ;).

    1. You're welcome! I have definitely had years where I don't want to decorate at all but then I force myself to do at least a few touches and it does make me feel better.

  11. I love all your decorations, they're very tasteful and appropriate for the season. It always seems strange when I see people decorate like this because in Australia we only do Christmas (although Halloween is creeping in - unfortunately!)

    1. I feel like most people I know decorate for ALL the holidays but I can really only be bothered with fall, Christmas, and maybe a few fake floral arrangements for spring.
