Our House All Decked Out for Fall
I haven't shared many photos of our house decked out for fall in a few years since I had mostly the same decorations in mostly the same places. However, this year with our first fall with a finished basement and furniture I knew I needed to buy some more decorations and spread them out/ mix them up a bit.
I went to Michael's & TJ Maxx and made out quite well!
I kept most of the same elements for the front door as last year-- our fall welcome mat, the wreath I made (this one from 2018 is still holding up so well!), and my Welcome Autumn sign (click here for a quick tutorial) with my white plastic pumpkins. This year I went with yellow mums.
Since the plants in my planters are still looking pretty good I decided to leave them for now. |
I decorated the mantle first in the living room then scattered a few signs and pumpkins near the fireplace and around our plant stand.
In our formal dining/living room I used these old mason jar luminaries (my boys made these in 2015- check out the post here!) and turned them into vases with some fake flowers.
I then scattered some signs, pumpkins, throw pillows, and assorted potpourri around the room blending them in with some fake flowers and leaves.
Such pretty fall decor! I love the cable knit yarn covered pumpkins as well. I really like any unique spin on the traditional pumpkin- for instance, I also really like the teal(ish) looking pumpkin in your last photo. The shape and color are both unique which I love. All of the touches are so pretty and you're ready to enjoy the fall inside and out ;).
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was on the hunt for unique looking pumpkins and found a HUGE selection at TJ Maxx this time.
DeleteWhat a great haul of decorations. I have noticed more people around here with Autumnal wreaths on their doors. They really are pretty. You really do have a lovely home.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove all of your call decor!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI love all the cute pumpkins you can get these days.
ReplyDeleteI had such a hard time holding back! There are so many fun colors, shapes, and sizes to pick from.

DeleteWhat fun fall decor!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteIsn't fall decor just the best!? It makes every home just look so, well, "homey"!!:) I love your new pillow...and why don't I get white pumpkins to reuse every year outside? Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it makes our home feel homier too!
DeleteSo many cute things. I love decorating for fall.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteYou place looks fantastic. I am not feeling like doing a lot of decorating this year, but your post really inspired me to pull out some of my decorations. Thanks so much!!

You're welcome! I have definitely had years where I don't want to decorate at all but then I force myself to do at least a few touches and it does make me feel better.
DeleteI love your fall decor. I don't remember seeing the finished basement before - it looks so nice!
ReplyDeleteYes, we finally got it all finished just this past summer (the furniture came in early July-- on my birthday of all days after waiting months and months for it all)!!
DeleteWow, your house turned out so fallalicious. I love the yarn pumpkins too (maybe I'm a tad biased with all of my knitting, haha)

Aw, thank you!
DeleteOh, it looks cozy and gorgeous, Joanne! I love this time of year!
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
DeleteI love all your decorations, they're very tasteful and appropriate for the season. It always seems strange when I see people decorate like this because in Australia we only do Christmas (although Halloween is creeping in - unfortunately!)
ReplyDeleteI feel like most people I know decorate for ALL the holidays but I can really only be bothered with fall, Christmas, and maybe a few fake floral arrangements for spring.
DeleteYour home is beautiful! The fall decor looks warm and inviting.
