Photo Challenge: The Week of March 26th 2022

It was another week of prompts that I thought were going to be so easy and yet turned out to be a little bit challenging.  I had to stretch the definition of a few of these words to fit some of the photos I had but that's Okay; I like the added challenge!

– lined-- Most of the large boulders and rocks in our region are lined.

– spiral-- I really liked the spiral pattern of the leaves on these green flowers.

– spotted-- We spotted some geese on our hikes this week.

– ordered-- Some socks I ordered for my husband

– your choice-- The pond where we were hiking had an unusual teal-blue tint to the water.

  4. You found a way to take a pretty photo of SOCKS!! Girl, that's talent. Love the blue-green water. I always try to straighten my photos so that horizontal and vertical lines in the shot are straight but I like the way your trees in the water photo are slightly off-kilter. Makes the photo much more interesting. I am going to stop straighten things!!

    1. It was so neat to see in person. From what we can tell it's because there is a natural spring that feeds into that pond.

  9. Hi Joanne. Those rocks, how fabulous, they must be great for making stone chimneys etc. Here we get that colour from glacial water, usually caused by natural minerals dissolved in the water. You live in such a beautiful area, it always looks so peaceful and natural. CarolG

    1. Yep, we have lots of stone walls and stone chimneys all around us. We went on to read that there is a natural spring in that lake and that is what causes the coloration. We assumed it had to be some sort of mineral in the water but thought it might be leftover from whatever they used to mine out of the quarry.
