Scrapbook Pages I've Been Working On

 Shortly after Christmas I went through all our photos of the year and placed a large order through Shutterfly.  I then sat down and wrote up a list of all the scrapbook pages I wanted to make to commemorate 2021 for our family.

I am about 1/2 way through already and having lots of fun!









I know most of the pages feature Alec but the other two just aren't as willing to get their photos taken; once I get to the family vacation photos things should even out a bit.

    You know it makes me so happy to see these! I give you blue ribbons on them all, not sure if you knew I used to be a scrapbooking judge at 4-H Fairs. I certainly miss doing it and I need to get back to it.

    Your pages look fabulous! I also have one family member who is never willing to appear in a photo. It looks like he isn't part of the family :(

      Yes, that's how I feel! I can relate though since I was the same way... still don't enjoy having my photo taken but I'm trying to get better at it.

    Great pages! I haven't gotten pictures printed in over a year! I really need to get on that! I keep telling myself that I need to get scrapbook the pages I already have then I can print more. I'm getting there though!

      I seem to only have them printed once a year. I used to print them monthly but I do feel like I take less "print worthy" photos now that my boys are older.

    LOVE them all. Where do you get your adorable die cuts? Do you make them? I just ordered a hamburger and French fry die cut because Hobby Lobby didn't have anything similar. Hate having to order things and sit waiting for them to arrive before I can finish pages. I have a very old Cricut but not all the cartridges I need!! I absolutely love the snowflakes, cupcakes (that rhymes) and the curly cues. Yay to Alec for being so cooperative!!

      Some of them I buy as part of kits and some of them I make using my Cricut.

    Your scrapbook pages are amazing. I do photo books (with captions and fun pages) for big trips but other than that I just stick photos in albums. The kids really love being able to look through the memories and I'm sure your scrapbooks are a family treasure.

Favorite TV Shows Growing Up in the 80's and early 90's

Do you remember the TGIF lineups on Friday nights? I can remember planning sleepovers and time with friends around TV Show lineups of our favorite shows... or else trying to set the VCR to record our favorite shows if we weren't going to be home. Things That Make Me Laugh

I loved the challenge of this week's list for our 26 lists link up.  I don't know about you but I really need to laugh more lately.  It's such a great stress reliever. 1.  Books-- I love a good funny book that makes me laugh out loud.  I haven't read one in a while but if you have any recommendations I'm all ears.  The last book I can remember making me laugh was the Un-Honeymooners. 2  The boys being silly. 3.  Watching shows like America's Funniest Videos or Family Feud. 4. My husband.  Most people don't realize it but he's actually pretty funny and often makes me laugh. 5.  Whenever my sisters/ family get together and we get to reminiscing (particularly if my Aunt Elaine is around) we end up laughing so hard at all the old family stories that we are all in tears by the end of the night.  It's fabulous. 6. Dorm Move In & Alec's Dorm Photos

 Alec and I loaded up the car Wednesday morning. I was literally unable to sleep the night before thinking there was no way we were going to fit all his stuff ( see yesterday's post! ) into my car. But first try we got it all to fit! There wasn't really any room to spare but that's okay, we all fit and so did everything he wanted to bring with him.  Since Alec is in the honors program he got to move in 2 days before the rest of the school (on Thursday).. which meant we didn't hear a whole lot from the school on what to expect for move in day. We were told to be there anywhere between 10 am and 7 pm so we decided to shoot for the 10 am and give ourselves plenty of time. His roommate wouldn't be moving in until Saturday and Alec will have a full day of activities and meetings today (on Friday).  We did label everything with Alec's name, dorm name, and room # just in case and printed out a parking pass (again, just in case)-- none of which we needed to do but were
