The Cards I've Been Making Lately
Other than my Christmas Cards, I feel like it has been ages since I've done anything creative with my paper decorating supplies. I dragged out all my cardstocks, stamps, and tools for a full day of card making recently and I had so much fun.
I do have to apologize that some of my photos aren't the greatest; we have been having some really dark and stormy days and the lighting has been a real struggle.
The first card is my favorite! I loved the "new" fold and the fun gingham background as well as this simple and adorable stamp that I rarely think to use.
Adorable! You are so creative

DeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThese are all so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo pretty my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteA day of making cards does sound like fun. What fab creations, they really are cute x
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun! I'm already plotting what cards I can make next.
DeleteI wish I was more crafty. These are great!
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty! I pivoted into cards from jewelry and it's nice to have a craft that I can just give away and not feel like it's an imposition. (hey wear these earrings I made I have 10 pair more want them?)
ReplyDeleteLOL! I have dabbled in the jewelry arts too. I love handmade earrings and crafts.
DeleteLovely cards Joanne - it's a great way to be creative on a small scale. I've been getting into collaging and have just discovered neurographical art (I've put a couple of my attempts up on my cresting the hill FB page). It's really good to be using both sides of our brains.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The psychology major in me loves that neurographical art is even a thing!!
DeleteThose cards are more than good enough Joanne. I just love seeing these. I used to make cards and would go to classes. But when we downsized, I gave all of my supplies to a friend since I wasn't doing it as much. It's so creative and fun though.

I have almost given away my supplies several times but after a few months (or even a year away from it) I end up picking it right back and up and I'm always so glad I kept them... though they do take up a lot of space.
DeleteJoanne,
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!! You are very talented!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Thank you!
DeleteThose are so cute, Joanne! I'm one of those people who doesn't like getting cards because I feel so guilty when I toss them! I'd feel extra guilty getting one of these!
ReplyDeleteI have rarely kept cards of any kind-- and always toss the ones I make for my husband and boys after a few weeks of them being on display!
DeleteOh they are so lovely, especially the ones with the sheep's.
ReplyDeleteSo funny, that was my least favorite! Hearing that helps me feel so much better about it.
DeleteWhat fun! I really like the third one - I have such a soft spot for sheep!!:)
ReplyDeleteThank you! That was actually the one I was most disappointed in so to hear that helps so much!
DeleteThey are all so beautifully done. Fancy fold cards are always so special to receive, wish I'd make them more often, but I never seem to have the patience.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite one here is the card you made for your mom, it's such a beautiful shade of yellow and I love the die cut frame! The other two are really cute, think I have the stamp you used on the first one too!
Thank you! This was one fancy fold that was surprisingly easy to do... my problem is that I never remember HOW to make them and have to go searching for a video or tutorial to recreate them.
DeleteThey are all lovely, Joanne! I really like the yellow tulips... and I love lemon drizzle cake too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThese are so lovely Joanne. I would much prefer to receive a handmade card any day! x
