Ageless Style: Booties

This month's theme "Booties" was chosen by Bo from Bo's Bodacious Blog.  I was thrilled because I fell in love with booties last fall and now own a god 4 or 5 pairs.  They have become one of my favorite fall staples that get added to my wardrobe quite early on in the season.

I asked my son to snap a few photos of me while we were out hiking again and I think he did a great job!

It really was not my best idea to wear these shoes hiking though as they made it difficult to hike properly.  But I just love the buckle detail and the little heel.

I paired my booties with my favorite jeans, a turtleneck sweater, and some simple jewelry.

I hope you'll visit everyone else to see how they styled their booties too!

  1. These are cute boots even if they weren't practical for your hike, they look so nice with your outfit! I love ankle boots and jeans in cooler weather, such a staple! :)

Hope that your week is going well :) It was another rainy spring day here!

    1. Yep, I often am as I tend to dress for the day and just swap out shoes when going hiking.

  5. Love the gray color of the booties! And you can never go wrong with a gray sweater. I have too many in gray sweaters but since I'm doing the minimalist closet (project 333) challenge I keep most packed away (can't bring myself to get rid of them!!)

    1. I need a nice chunky heel; otherwise I just can't walk in them.

  9. Your son is so good at taking your pictures! My poor hubby is in charge of all my pictures. LOL. I love the long necklace with that turtleneck. You look so great in the neutral tones of gray!

    1. He did great; though he did tell me he feels like he's shaking the whole time. I don't think my husband has ever taken my photo... maybe once on our honeymoon? He's not really a picture guy.

  11. Those are such fabulous boots Joanne, and would go with everything. In fact, I have been keeping my eye out for a darker grey bootie like those.

  12. You look smashing. Love the gun metal gray of your booties. And that gray tunic sweater, it is such a flattering fit; I like the little bit of ruffle at the hem. It isn't an official ruffle but just hangs very femininely. Pretty necklace, too. Give the whole look a little dressy detail.
