Photos of the Week: July 10th

I was so afraid I wasn't going to be able to participate in the I Spy Challenge this week since I had been too busy to think about photo prompts at all!  Luckily because it was such a busy week I had taken a lot of photos and while I had to get a bit creative here and there I managed to find a photo to fulfill each prompt from those I had taken this week.

– loud-- They might not look like it but these babies birds were loud peeping constantly for mom.

– cup-- We made individual parfait cups for the 4th of July with lemon cake, vanilla pudding, blueberries, whipped cream and crumbled lemon Oreos.

– floating-- Ian floating along in his kayak when we went out for an early morning paddle around the calm lake.

– open-- The beach was wide open and nearly deserted on our walk back to the blanket.

– your choice-- An egret we saw while at the beach.

    1. I'm not a big lemon fan either but I was told they only had a light lemon flavor.

  7. great photo of the baby birds! We have a swallow pair nesting on our porch, but of course the nest is too high up for me to get photos. I'm watching and waiting though. Absolutely love the kayak shot - so peaceful and serene.

    1. It would have been fantastic if it wasn't so windy. We literally felt like we were getting sand blasted...

    1. Thanks! Yeah, we rarely sleep with the windows open; between birds, peep toads, and all sorts of other critters it does get quite loud (and usually quite cold on the lake too!).
