Handmade Father's Day Cards

Welcome to the May Pinterest Challenge! The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate us to not just pin, but to make it happen!

When I saw that this month's Pinterest Challenge theme was Father's day I wasn't so sure I would be participating.  Then I realized that I could use this challenge to help me get all my cards made!

I always make my own cards and often look on Pinterest for ideas anyway.  I needed to make 4 cards this year and used 4 different pins to inspire me: "the Gang's All Meer" card,  Grill card (combined with elements from an old card I had made years ago and never used), "A Good Man" card,  a simple Dad card.

  2. I used to belong to a Paper Arts Club and we made cards monthly - After many years of being member, I have a nice collection to choose from for any occasion! I love the variety you have shared here - Cards are so expensive at the store so this is always a good idea!

    1. I love making my own cards and have since I was in high school. I use to sell Stampin Up products and ran monthly stamp classes where we made cards. It was so much fun!

  6. I was right there with you - I really struggled to put a project together this month, but then when I realized it was more of "gift for him" and not necessarily "a father", it was a little easier. Your cards are lovely! I love handmade cards because they are so much more personal, plus fun to put together.

    1. Yes, that is definitely true. I always find it harder to come up with homemade gifts for men though. I have used Pinterest more than once to get Christmas gift ideas for most of the men in our lives.

  14. Brilliant ideas, cards for men often feel more difficult but once you get on a roll you can be really creative can't you? I love the barbeque lid idea, really clever.

    1. Thanks! I do think once I get going they aren't so hard but with so many of my stamp sets being flowers and birds and butterflies I often feel stumped at first.
