Encouraging Hearts and Home: Green Clovers and Rainbows

For years we spent the first few weeks of March decorating with rainbows, green clovers, and golden coins.  We aren't Irish but we enjoy celebrating St. Patrick's Day anyway.  Now that the boys are older and less into celebrating every little thing we only make a special meal for St. Patrick's Day-- corned beef & cabbage with some sort of green dessert but I still enjoy reading all the St. Patrick's Day post ideas that are floating around the internet.  That's how I picked my featured posts today!

And Now, It's Time for This Week's Encouraging Hearts & Home Blog Hop!

Join your Encouraging Hearts & Home Co-Hosts each week for encouragement and support for your heart & your home. We hope to provide a space that builds each other up and lends a helping hand along the way. With all the negativity in the world, let's shine a positive light!

  3. Aw, I love that you make a special St. Patrick's day meal. My husband is a little bit Irish but we have never celebrated this holiday other than wearing green. I will use any excuse to wear something green!

  5. Joanne,
Saint Patrick's Day is a big deal here in NEPA with Scranton's St. Patrick's Day being one of the largest in the country...Both Scranton and Wilkes Barre ( who holds it's parade the day after Scranton so marching units from around the Country can participate in both parades) have not cancelled but postponed their parades until September!!! a vast majority of our area was originally home to a large amount of Irish immigrants who came here fleeing the Potato Famine before the influx of Eastern European Immigrants a century later who settled here to work in the mines....
I truly appreciate you hosting each week! I understand how much time it takes to do so!! Thank you!!
    Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,
    Debbie
