Prime Purchases Lately

We bought so much on Amazon during November and December for Christmas that I could not possibly share it all but I thought I would share a few of the highlights-- a few of our favorites gifts that we gave and received too.

My new jewelry cabinet/mirror.

I bought Alec this Bread making book and we can't wait to try out all the different bread recipes!

We used this handy cookie cutter set to make our own sugar cookie house this year.  While I can't way it is the best set on the market it certainly got the job done!

Alec and I spent an afternoon putting a few vinyl cling snowflakes in all our living room & dining room windows and it added such a fun little touch for winter.

My husband loves his meat hooks; so far we've used them on pulled pork and I hope to make some pulled chicken next week.

I got a new booklight after mine broke and I really like that it's rechargeable.

We're planning on making hot cocoa bombs and bought this mold pan

I found Alec these adorable oven mitts and he just loves them. He's always really liked panda bears.

I found this blanket that is themed after Alec's favorite book series The Wings of Fire- he was thrilled!

I bought some wireless earbuds for the boys.

Evan needed a new chair and he just loves his gaming chair that he got for Christmas.

I also needed a new chair for my craftroom and I just love how sturdy, comfy, and cute my new chair is!

  2. I love those cookie cutters! I think I may have to invest in some next year, as I think they would make gingerbread house making much easier. That book looks awesome as well. I've made bread a few times, and would love to get better at it. :) And your new chair looks so nice! One of these days maybe I'll invest in an actually office chair.

    1. I figured if I had a girly colored office chair I might actually get to keep it as my others tend to find their way into someone else's domain each and every time!

    1. Thank you! Sadly, the cabinet is just not big enough for all my jewelry but I still love it and am brainstorming ideas for what to do with the other pieces that don't fit.

  4. I like your jewellery cabinet! Hope you are enjoying using it. Hot chocolate bombs seem to be the latest thing. I look forward to seeing what you make! #MMBC

    1. I figured at least if it was rechargeable I never had to worry about batteries.

  11. These are such great finds! Love the gingerbread house cookie cutters! And I'll have to keep Evan's new chair in mind - my son has been thinking of replacing his. I love your new chair as well but think it will get all spritzed with ink if I had it in my craft room. It looks so pretty and comfy though!!
Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!!

    1. My oldest son already had a pair and swears by them so Alec thought they might be perfect for his long bus rides to school (on those rare days he actually takes the bus).

  13. Oh, I should not have opened this post!! I want it all!! Actually, have looked at some of these things myself but resisted the temptation. Thinking it is time to get the meat pullers for sure. I use forks but they don't work as well. Desperately need a chair for my craft room. Right now I have an inexpensive office chair but it won't lock in place so I am always twirling around in it. Have to sit with one foot pressed against the carpet or my leg pressed against the leg of the table to keep from spinning. Very tiresome!!

    1. LOL! My chair stopped raising and lowering so I was never at the right height for crafting.

  14. I don't know why I find 'meat hooks' so funny, but it made me laugh out loud. Is the chair as comfortable as it looks? I bought two different office chairs on Amazon until I finally broke down and got a ridiculously expensive one through another company. Though I unfortunately am sitting at my desk for eight hours a day, and no chair is comfortable for that long!

    1. Oh I bet no chair could hold up to 8 hours... not even a recliner! I do think it is pretty comfortable but I like a firm chair for my back otherwise I get real lower backaches.

  16. Happy and Healthy New Year! You found so many goodies on Amazon, Joanne! I like those chairs, especially the cream colored upholstered one. I have a similar rubber mold I use to use for cake pops and now you gave me the wonderful idea to use it to make chocolate bombs--thanks!

  17. I have been considering those meat hooks....we do lots of shredded meat. Thanks for sharing

    1. I think you'd really like them! They made quick work of shredding the pork.

  18. Happy New Year. Those meat hooks would be so much easier than always dragging out my kitchaid mixer to shred meat.

  19. That book light is really cool! I could use one of those! We have meat hooks that we love but don't use them enough. This reminds me to use them more!
