My November Goals (With a Look Back at How I Did With October's Goals)

One good thing about 2020 is that this year seems to be flying by!  I can hardly believe it's already the beginning of November!  With a new month starting it's a perfect time to look back on last month's goals and see how I did before putting together a list of this month's goals.

A look back at my October goals:

Take it easy and let my body rest and recover (something I really struggle with!)-- check!  I spent many days in bed resting and recuperating.

Celebrate my husband's birthday-- Check!  We even invited my mother in law over for dinner.  I made him a card and Alec made him a Tollhouse pie.

Have a family movie/candy night in honor of Halloween-- Check! We even invited my mother in law over to join us for chili, cornbread, candy and ice cream sundaes while watching the Adams Family.

Start hiking as soon as the doctor approves it-- Check!  Even though my doctor technically hasn't approved it yet we've taken on a few very easy/flat hiking trails already.

Start on my Christmas shopping-- Check! .

Go through all the winter gear and make sure everyone has what they need/buy whatever they've outgrown and still need-- 1/2 Check! We had early snow on Oct 30th that prompted us to go through everything.  Alec and Ian need winter boots but other than they're all set.

Make a yummy caramel popcorn snack mix of some sort-- Check!

Get at least one date night in!-- Check! My husband and I went to the Outback for a steak dinner before heading out grocery shopping one night this month and I even wore makeup and painted my nails.

November's goals:
  • Get together with friends for some hiking
  • Get mine & Evan's teeth cleaned (finally!)
  • Get Ian's & Evan's physicals done
  • Find a new doctor and make a physical appointment
  • Host a small Thanksgiving dinner
  • Put up our Christmas tree and decorate the house after Thanksgiving
  • Get most if not all of my Christmas shopping done
  • Make Christmas cards
  • But the boys their winter boots

  1. Looks like you were able to do well in October. That popcorn snack looks yummy! Oh gee, your list reminds me of my teeth cleaning that I called to cancel. Just not sure I want someone up close to my face just yet, even if they have a mask on, you know? Thanks so much for linking up with me at my #UnlimitedMonthlyLinkParty 18, open until November 26.

    1. I did do really well with my goals this past month and in fact had to reschedule my dentist appointment! Only because I wasn't up for it when I was recovering from my operation but will be going this month.

    1. I couldn't believe it.. I never expected it to accumulate either; I thought if we did get snow this year in the season it would just be a few flurries.

  11. Very attainable November goals. So glad you rested in order to fully recuperate. I need to follow your good lead and give myself some grace. Your gray nail color is really pretty. So boring over here...almost always going with a pinky coral. I need to shake things up.
The card you made your hubs is very festive and sweet. How nice for Alec to bake a cookie cake for his dad. I need to make my chile chocolate chip cookies next week when I feel better.
