My Favorite Halloween Costumes
This week's 26 list prompt it all about the best costumes. Never having been a big fan of Halloween or wearing costumes I knew I was going to focus on all the cute costumes my boys have had through the years.
I hope you enjoy this fun walk down memory lane with me!
This was one of my favorite Halloween photos; as you might be able to tell by the fact that my photo is of a framed picture I keep up year round.
Not caring that butterflies are usually a "girl" costume, Alec made his own version of a butterfly. He almost always picked an animal to dress up as. This was also the year Ian was taking guitar lessons and he used his real guitar to trick or treat with.
This has always been my favorite Halloween costume photo-- all three of my boys together. Giraffe, Dragon, and our lil' pumpkin.

Alec's leopard costume |
Ian as a frog We often reused costumes too; here's Alec wearing the same dragon costume from above. Funny enough this was the year Evan was wearing the frog costume! |
Eventually my boys got to the point where they wanted to be characters and superheroes:
Evan made a fabulous Harry Potter (with blond hair)
Alec was never one for superheroes but once he learned that Flash was fast and thin had boundless energy we all agreed it was the perfect costume for him.
Linking Up With: Spread the Kindness,
What a lovely walk down memory lane. They look like they had a fabulous time dressing up and they looked so good! #mmbc
ReplyDeleteThey loved dressing up-- even when it wasn't necessarily Halloween.
DeleteI miss the fuzzy toddler costumes. Those ones are my favourites!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Fuzzy and warm.

DeleteSo fun to look back at pictures of our kids when they were younger! Looks like fun memories!
ReplyDeleteIt really is!
DeleteWhat fun to look back at all the happy faces in their costumes!
ReplyDeleteThey were a very smiley bunch; still are for the most part (just not always when I want to take pictures).
DeleteSweetest pictures ever! Such little cherubs :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you!
DeleteAwe, this is the SWEETEST post ever! I love seeing all the costumes through the years. The pumpkin makes me think of the first year we dressed up our now 14yo. I think the pumpkin is a classic and must-do costume for mama's with babies. :)
ReplyDeleteRight!? Though I do remember that Ian's very first Halloween I had bought him a sack costume (maybe a caterpillar) and he had completely outgrown it by the time Halloween rolled around.
DeleteHow precious!! I enjoyed taking a walk down memory lane with you. Your babies were just adorable!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo cute. I really like the animal costumes.
ReplyDeleteI was so pleased that Alec wanted animals costumes for so long since I really like them and they're usually nice and warm ones too.
DeleteOh my goodness, I love Halloween and all these outfits are so so very cute! We don't celebrate Halloween here but I'm hoping to throw a party next year and start a tradition!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tradition to start!
DeleteAll so cute!! It brings back memories of al the costumes that my sons gad...I made all their Halloween costumes...Thanks so much for stopping by!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
I thought I was going to make their costumes each year too but that never once happened.
DeleteThis walk down memory lane with the Halloween costumes is sooo cute. I love seeing them all!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI have just never been that into Halloween. I tried to be when my kids were little. I do love seeing other people dressed up and loving it though.
ReplyDeleteI have never been big into Halloween either; I enjoyed seeing the kids joy over costumes but that was about it.
DeleteYour ingenuity is an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWhat fab costumes and so lovely for you to be able to look back on.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. x
Joanne, this was such a cute walk down Halloween memory lane! I love the plush dumpy bottom animal costumes! My kids have worn quite a few of those cute costumes over the years! We had a similar frog costume as well! So darn cute...all of it! Thanks for sharing and linking up with me.
