Fun Facts About Me
I love reading lists like this on other bloggers pages but am just awful about putting them together for me. I always worry about what is a fun fact? What have I not shared about before? Is my "fact" fun or quirky and who would even care about that??
But this month's Not Just a Mom prompt was all about sharing fun facts about ourselves... so here it goes.
1. My favorite colors is blue; I love it in all shades.
2. My favorite quizine is Italian! I am a pasta loving gal.
3. I have read the entire Harry Potter series more time than I can count; the same could be said for the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum series.
4. My husband used to refer to me as Uncle Si since I always carry around a cup of sweet tea; I prefer this flavor.
5. I don't drink alcohol or coffee because I could never develop a taste for either of them; though I did try!
6. I love the beach but prefer to be walking along the shore or just wading in to my knees rather than sitting on the sand in the sun.
7. I can touch my nose with my tongue.
8. My scariest travel moment was when I got stuck in an elevator in France while I was on a high school trip. I couldn't speak the language well and I have never really liked elevators since.
9. I have been with my spouse since I was 16; which means we've been together for 26 years now.
10. In high school I was voted "best artist"

Aw I love this! It was fun getting to know you more. We are quite alike! I love pasta, not so keen on elevators and love Harry Potter.
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a lovely weekend. :) #MMBC
Thank you! We do have quite a few things in common.
DeleteIm a blue lover too! Same for HP I’m going to reread it this year (:
ReplyDeleteMy boys and I are currently 1/2 way through the series; though we have paused our read aloud sessions for the summer since my oldest is working.
DeleteCute post! I am also a pasta gal. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThese are great facts! I do drink coffee and have from an early age on, but I could never develop a taste for alcohol either. It's not a good combo with my current meds anyway. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteI figured it was a bit silly to try and develop a taste for something that wasn't good for me to begin with.
DeleteHow lovely to get to know you a bit better.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of elevators since I got stuck in one when I was a teen too. If there are stairs, I'll take them instead. x
Me too! I am definitely a stairs person.
DeleteSo cute! Love the picture of you and your husband!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Pretty sure that was my junior year winter formal.
DeleteI read the entire Harry Potter series a few years back, but recently reread the first one. I got so much more out of it knowing the big picture now!
ReplyDeleteYikes, getting stuck in an elevator without language skills definitely sounds scary to me too.
Thankfully my French teacher noticed rather quickly that all 4 of us girls were missing and she quickly found us and ran interference language wise.
DeleteI love posts like these. I also love that picture of you both from high school.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't believe how young (and akward) we look.
DeleteLove all the facts. So sweet about you and your spouse :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThanks for linking up! I still have to write my post. I feel like I share too many of the same things again and again!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I often do too.
DeleteItalian pasta is one of my favorites! And I also like going to the beach but prefer not just laying around. Happy Monday! xo
ReplyDeleteI think it's rather fitting that we're having spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight!
DeleteLove that throwback photo!! And Italian is my cuisine I’d choice too. Thanks for sharing! I love these kinds of posts too.
ReplyDeleteThanks! We look so incredibly young; it's nuts to me that we were the same age them as my oldest son is now.
DeleteThat was fun to read! They are all fun and interesting facts. I got stuck in an elevator on my way to my very first law school class and it was so stressful...being trapped in there and missing my first class! I have never liked elevators since then either. I have read all of Harry Potter and the Stephanie Plum series as well. But only one time through for each. Thanks for sharing and linking up.

Definitely sounds like I am not the only one who no longer likes elevators after getting trapped in one! I'm pretty surprised at how many of us have that it common.
DeleteThis post was so much fun! I always love learning more about people. And I love Italian, too... it's probably my very favorite, although, Mexican comes quite close as well! It might be a tie between the two! :o)
ReplyDeleteI actually don't eat Mexican at all! Maybe a taco salad on occasion but it's pretty rare and has to be very very mild tasting and served without salsa, onions, or peppers... or anything spicy.
DeleteThank you!
