Encouraging Hearts and Home: Hooks and Needles

Two skills I've always wished I had the patience for was learning to knit and/or crochet.  I love most yarn projects but have never sucessfully made anything using either crochet hooks or knitting needles.  That doesn't stop me from admiring what others create though.

And Now, for This Week's Encouraging Hearts & Home Blog Hop!

  1. Thanks for the party. Knitting/crocheting is the one craft I've never tried either.

  4. A few years ago my daughter wanted me to teach her how to crochet. All I ever did was what I had learned in school many many years ago, but I tried teaching her. While she didn't learn at that time, I did re-teach myself and made a few crochet flowers to use on papercrafts, a doll hat, some baby booties and a coaster. I had purchased a ton on yarn but have then quit crocheting again. Maybe I'll try to teach my daughter again! It really is fun but I have to follow a youtube tutorial on how to do it if it involves anything other than the regular stitch.
Thanks for hosting the linkup today and for sharing those wonderful projects!
