What's In My... Pantry
I was both excited for this month's What In My theme and sort of dreading it. I reorganized and made over my whole pantry in January (you can check out the before and after here) and I loved how cleaned and organized it looked.
Then the pandemic came through and we began slowly stocking that pantry to the brim. While I do know where everything is and what I have in my pantry it no longer looks as neat and organized as I want it to. But I figured it was way more important we have enough food on hand.
Here's what it looks like right now:
I still have most items in the baskets organized by category but a few things I had to tuck along the back and sides (or in the case of canned good; stack).
Our bottom shelves hold school and crafts supplies for the boys.
Tucked back on the wall near the door hinge is a small series of shelves that hold all our spices and herbs. There is just enough space between the spice racks and the shelves for us to store the broom and mops. You can also see the cookbooks next to our hand vacuum.

I keep a supply of pens, brushes, and marks in here as well as a rolling drawer cart that holds our microscope, slides, and that sort of stuff.

I envy your pantry. Ours is like a tiny TINY closet. I love the idea of baskets to keep things organized. I have random baskets throughout but I might steal this idea if I get motivated. I might save this for a winter project. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen we were building our builder suggested we do away with the wall ovens that were in the plan and turned this whole area into a pantry for us; I am SOO glad he suggested it!
DeleteIt looks wonderful to me. We just converted two shelves of the game cabinet into a pantry. I also have things stored high, high up in our bedroom closet. It is all a mess. The shelves are very deep and you need a flashlight to see to the back.

One thing I knew I wanted was bright, easy to see shelving throughout the whole house. I hate that things teeter on the wire shelves but I do love that the light shines through them.
DeleteYour pantry is way more organized than mine!
ReplyDeleteThank you; I think that has been my favorite project tackle to date.
DeleteOh wow! Your pantry is amazing! I would love something like this and it to be so organised. x
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's taken me years to get it this organized but I just love it now.
DeleteYour pantry is very organized and tidy. If mine was this big I'm sure it would look just as confusing as my small one. lol
ReplyDeleteLOL. I am a pretty tidy and organized kind of person.
DeleteI love how organized your pantry is. I am jealous of the size. Thanks for linking up
ReplyDeleteThank you! I LOVE having such a nice large pantry. It sure does come in handy.
