Star Wars T-Shirt for Dad
This month's Pinterest challenge was all about making gifts for Father's Day. I immediately thought of making up a t-shirt for my husband.
We were supposed to head to Disney in February and had to postpone our trip and then it got canceled altogether but my husband had been so excited to see the new Star Wars land at Hollywood Studios so I knew I needed to make him a Star Wars t-shirt to wear whenever we finally make it there.
There are so many great pins and I fully admit that I looked at a few before settling on making up my own.
I had planned to make him a Yoda shirt so I bought the t-shirt in green but the more I searched for Cricut SVG files the more I kept gravitating towards something classic.
I found my image on the Cricut design studio and sized it to fit the shirt front. I then cut out the mirror image using iron on vinyl.
I weeded out all those pieces I didn't want but had a bit of a problem as the Cricut had cut through the clear backing that usually makes iron projects a snap.
I took my time laying out the design on the t-shirt; making sure to measure so the image was evenly spaced side to side and straight across the chest then I gently pressed it in place using an iron set to the cotton setting.
I think he's going to love it!
