Sweet Spring Popcorn Mix

The boys and I were looking for something quick, easy, and delicious to mix up for an afternoon snack.  The only catch was it had to be made with ingredients we already had in the house.  I had found a few recipes on Pinterest using popcorn and chocolate.. and our idea was born.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup popcorn
1 sleeve graham crackers broken into quarters (pretzels would be great too!)
20 ounces candy melts (I used 8 ounces of white and 12 ounces lavender)
Sprinkles

Using the air popper (or whatever method you prefer) pop the popcorn and pick out any un-popped kernels.  Lay them out on some wax paper.

Add the graham cracker pieces to the popcorn.

In a small bowl microwave the candy melts in 30 second increments until you have nice smooth melted chocolate.  Drizzle over the popcorn and crackers.

Mix well (but gently so not to break the popcorn) until evenly coated.  Sprinkle with the sprinkles and then let it sit for an hour or so until cooled and hardened.

Break into bite sized pieces and serve or store in an air tight container.  I can't say how long it would last for though since my boys gobbled it all up within a day or two.

    1. I loved that it really was quite simple to make but it was so tasty. It reminded me of some popcorn we've bought from some pretty expensive specialty shops.
