Shows We've Been Streaming as a Family

All three of my boys have such a variety tastes in movies  and shows that it's not always easy for us to find things we enjoy watching together.  More time at home has found us trying out lots of new shows.

We're still watching many of our tried and true favorites like American Housewife and The Goldbergs but we've found some new shows to enjoy together too.

1.  Lego Masters-- all three of my boys have been building with Legos since.. forever and we all enjoy watching these teams compete to be dubbed the next master builders. (Hulu)

2.  Boy Meets World-- My husband and I used to watch this show growing up and knowing my boys enjoyed watching Girl Meets World we got them to give this show a try.  We're already into our 4th season and watching a few episodes each night. It's fun to watch Corey, Shawn, Matthew and Topanga grow and learn with the help of Corey's parents, each other,  and their teachers Mr. Feeney and Mr. Turner. (Disney+)

3.  Forged in Fire-- Having worked in the blacksmith shop with my husband on more then one occasion all the boys enjoy watching this blade making competition.  Each episode starts with 4 bladesmiths forging a weapon from whatever materials they challenge them to use.  In the end the two best competitors take on a new challenge using their own home forges and come back to submit their blades to a series of tests.  The best bladesmith becomes the newest Forged in Fire Champion. (Hulu)

4.  Knife or Death-- A spin off from Forged In Fire, here people put their blades to the ultimate test trying to slice their way through an obstacle course of objects without damaging their blade, meeting special parameters, and trying to do it all in the fastest time. (Hulu)

5.  Nailed It (season 4)-- We have been fans of Nailed It! for awhile now and were thrilled to see they came out with season 4. It is a riot to watch these poor bakers try and make/ build/ decorate these masterpieces in the time alloted.  (Netflix)

6.  Step by Step-- One night while watching Boy Meets World a character from Step by Step had a cameo and I was reminded about it. I thought the boys might enjoy it so I cajoled everyone into giving it a shot. We just love a good family sit-com and with so many siblings and family members in this blended family there is always something funny going on.  (Hulu)

How about you?  What has your family been watching?

  3. Crazy! I commented on this post three times last night from my phone and none of them went though. So very random. I even downloaded Chrome in case it was a Google/Blogger thing. Oh well, I'll be commenting on my computer from now on. So last night I was like wow, Step by Step I haven't thought of that show in years. Then this morning my husband starts talking about it and said he just realized that it's called Step by Step because they are all step children. The universe is trying to tell me that I need to watch this show again.

    1. That is so weird!! I guess the universe is trying to tell you something. We saw one of the characters from Step by Step on Boy Meets World and that's what made me think of it and then something else got my husband and I talking about Just the 10 of Us with Coach Lubbock... do you remember that show? It was a spin off from Growing Pains.

  4. I only started streaming this past year but one of my favorite things about Hulu, D+, Netflix and Tubi are all of the old shows that I had completely forgotten about #anythinggoes

    1. Yes, I am loving all those older shows; some I never watched and am enjoying in their entirety and some I am re- watching out of nostalgia.
