What's in my... Storage Closet

We don't really have a storage closet but when we converted my old craft room into a utility room we did put in a wall of shelves that I use to store seasonal items and crafting supplies that I don't have anywhere else to store.

As you can see at just a glance most things are stored in clear storage totes.  This keeps them from getting dusty but also protects them from any water leaks since they are in the room with our heat pump.

Starting on the bottom and working our way up... I have totes of old photo albums, a rolling drawer cart filled with miscellaneous crafting supplies and a few old craft organizational things my husband built for me (a ribbon rack and a clip it up stand).  I also stores rolls of wrapping paper in a small garbage pail (that's never been used!).

The first shelf holds my sewing machine, sewing "basket", and some old framed photos and household décor items.

The second shelf; kept within easy reach is all my wrapping supplies for Christmas, birthdays, and all other gift giving occasions.

The very top shelf holds spring and fall home décor items. Our Christmas décor takes up so many totes that we store the whole seasons worth of stuff in the basement.

  9. Phooey, I missed February's post and now March's post. Didn't do February's because I was out of town and my purse was a disaster! But would have done my storage closet...or storage shed. Maybe I still will!!

Your closet is very neatly organized and the bins are so well labeled. Our storage shed is where we keep our lawn mower (which I always slip up and call the vacuum) and yard stuff. My under the stairs storage closet is a bit upside down because I keep having to get in there to get the suitcases out. Maybe I will use this as an excuse to clean it!! How now to have this old craft room turned storage! I would be in pig heaven.

    1. We have two storage sheds with all the boys' four wheelers, bikes, our lawn mower, etc. But I try not to go in there much because it's more my husband's space than mine and is not organized nearly as well as I'd like it to be. LOL.
