February De-Stash Challenge: Scrapbooking Pages

Every month a group of bloggers are challenged by C'mon Get Crafty to create a new craft or project from their own stash of goodies! Everyone is allowed a $10 allowance for necessities to complete their project (i.e. paint brushes, glue, etc), but the bulk of it must be created from their own stash of goodies.

Let's meet this month's bloggers!!

I am joining up with the Monthly Crafty De-stash Challenge today and I could not be more excited.  I'm sure it's not all that surprising to my regular readers that I decided to whip up some scrapbooking pages for this month's challenge.

The only thing I needed to purchase was some more double sided tape for my tape runner.  I had all the other supplies (including my photos) piling up on my desk but I knew I wanted to finish up all the pages I possibly could before heading out on our Disney vacation.  This challenge gave me the push I needed and I finally put all the photos in albums and pulled together ALL the rest of the pages I had planned.

    1. I took a few year off from scrapbooking and found that once I got back into it my style had changed quite a bit. I also find I don't scrap nearly as many moments from our lives as I used to either; just the highlights!

  5. Looks like your family has had some great adventures lately! And what a great way to preserve and remember them! My kids still look through our scrap books when they come home for a visit.

    1. We had a fabulous time touring 5 different states this past fall. I think family vacations and trips are some of my favorite things to scrap.

  6. Your scrapbook pages are so well done and will make wonderful memories of your special moments. I have many craft supplies I don't use as often as I once did and I really need to decide what to do with them. I am hoping my grandchildren will get some use out of them for projects and craft fun.

  9. Well done, my friend. I am sitting in my loft/craft room right now. Have one page finished on my easel and the other only lacking a title. Maybe I will finally get it completed today. I am also wanted to purge and declutter this space. Can't decide whether to do it on my own or with Taylor as part of her 52 weeks of organization. Would love to see pics of your crafting space. Maybe I will do a craft space post and invite bloggers to join in!!
What do you use to make your lettering? I have a very old Cricut. Thinking I need to use it more.

    1. Thank you! I was a couple of years behind but found a new passion for it and managed to catch up quite quickly. I think partly it helped that there wasn't nearly as many "events" to scrapbook as the kids got older and older.
