Prime Purchases in August

I used my Prime membership for so much this month!  Our state has done away with plastic bags and while I am pretty great about bringing reusable bags to the grocery store with me it is not yet a habit I have formed for other stores.  I figured I'd save myself the hassle and buy most of my "other" stuff on-line using Amazon.  I divided this post into 4 sections: Household Items, women's clothing, men's clothing, & just because!

I've only used Prime Pantry once or twice but am trying to get into the habit of ordering once a month to keep us fully stocked and better yet I wasn't distracted by all the other stuff in the store and actually saved a bit of money only buying what we needed... that we then proceeded to use to buy other things from Amazon!

Household Items:

My Prime Pantry Order:

Bathroom cups

body wash for me

Gallon size storage and freezer bags, quart size, and sandwich size

cat food (our cat only uses wet food now so we can mix his medication in)

toilet tissue

deodorant for me

Crest toothpaste

Other household items that weren't Prime Pantry:

I needed some more makeup

Mouthwash

hairspray

toilet bowl cleaner

pledge

scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner

hand soap-- typically I just buy a large re-fill bottle but all our small bottles near the sinks were looking pretty grimy themselves and I thought this 6 pack would be perfect since I could replace all the hand soap bottles by every sink.

dish soap

A divided tray-- I used to have two; one for fruits and one for vegetables but we broke one years ago and I never got around to replacing it.  I decided to give this one a try and really like it.

Women's Clothing:  I am trying to buy a few items for fall since most of my wardrobe no longer fits but sadly I think I returned more than I kept this month.  I'm having a hard time finding pieces I love.

I did LOVE this top and was so glad it cooled off enough for me to wear it for a day with my new favorite jeans.  I just love the little tie sleeves!

I saw this top on Andrea and just knew I'd love it!  Though I do wish I had ordered down one size it so cute and comfy and I just love the blue print and the bell sleeves with their adorable trim.

This off the shoulder sweater is also cute and comfy.  I love those batwing sleeves.

I wasn't 100% sold on this top but I didn't notice it did not offer free returns and it was cheaper to just keep it.  It is very comfortable but I wish the material around my hips was a little less bulky.  I did wear it a time or two already and I'm glad I kept it.

I just loved the cut out sides on these boots and wore them for our date night this weekend; they were so comfy!  Though I might have ordered the wrong size as I did need thick socks to keep my feet from sliding around.. I just don't know what size shoes I take anymore!

I thought this waffle knit top would be perfect for fall and while I loved it; it is see-through.  I wore it already with a tank top under it since we've had some warm day still and I know I'll get lots of use out of it in the spring.

Men's clothing:  My husband has also dropped several clothing sizes and needed new clothes too.  But he's a very simple guy.  We ordered him multiple colors of these Carhartt work pants and a few of these t-shirts.

Just Because:

We needed new sheets and tried these out after reading lots of rave reviews about them.  We tried them out the very night they came in (after I had washed them) and just LOVE how soft they are.
Our tv remote broke so I bought a new one-- by the time it arrived the old remote was back to working but for only $8 we decided to keep it as a back up.

We got a Wi-Fi extender and now I can use my laptop anywhere in the house without a problem!

I often take my cell phone out kayaking with us and always have it nearby when we're at the lake.  When I saw this case on Foxy's post I just knew I had to try it out.  It worked great and I was even able to take photos through it!

Another yeti tumbler for me so I don't have to wash mine every single day!

We also ordered some new paints, X-acto refill blades, and cleaning supplies for Ian's model making, some new Cricut blades and cutting mats for my scrapbooking,  as well as a few new parts for the jet ski (that we finally got back up and running!).

  2. Amazon is just so convenient! I have used Prime Pantry once when I was sending snacks to camp, but I would love to use it again for regular household items. I also like all the clothes you've been finding!

    1. My only problem with Prime Pantry is that much like regular shopping, I no sooner place an order then we run out of something else I need! But I am really loving having everything just delivered to me.
