Summer Bucket List

With the official start of summer last Friday, I thought it would be the perfect time to share with everyone our Summer Bucket List.  We enjoy laid back days at home, lounging by the lake, and spending time with family and friends but I don't want summer to just pass us by.  That's why we create a bucket list.

I'll be joining in with the Summer Fun Link party.

This party is for summer crafts, diy projects, recipes, activities, summer travel ideas, etc.
It will open June 28 and close on July 12.  I hope you'll join us too!

1.  Go see Crique Du Soleil!

2.  Kayak around the lake.

3.  Go swimming, jet skiing, fishing, and boating.

4.  Have a cookout or two with friends and family.

5.  Go bowling.

6. Try a few new summer recipes like grilled pineapple chicken or peach/bacon salad.

7.  Make some homemade frozen treats-- popsicles, ice cream, and more.

8.  Finish updating at least one more garden (last year we tackled two gardens and I'd love to see us keep working on updating them all).

9.  Take a day trip to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard or Block Island.

10.  Go to the beach.

11.  Tie dye some shirts.

12.  Go tubing down some rapids.

13.  Get ice cream sundaes from Bogey's for dinner one night.

14.  Pick some fresh fruits-- peaches, blueberries, strawberries.

15.  Feed the ducks.

16.  Play cornhole.

17.  Go to the movies.

18.  Go on vacation!  (This year we have plans to head to Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska at the very end of summer-- in just a single week we'll see parts of all 4 states)

19. Hike whenever the weather allows.

20.  Have a water balloon fight.

    1. We went to Block Island a few years back and we loved it; the boys have been asking to go back.. I'd love for my husband to be able to join us this time as I'd feel more adventurous about exploring even more of it. We mostly just walked through the downtown area and bought food/snacks. At the time I had one that was still not good at biking; now we could really explore all over.

  7. Great list! This summer I've already visited family, so I can check that off my list. I want to take the kids to the local aquatic center, find different playgrounds in the area, visit some museums, play in the pool, and go on several bike rides.

    1. Thanks! They are great shows aren't they? I hope they don't change too much now that Cirque has been sold to another company...

  9. Great bucket list! We just got back from a vacation to Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. Absolutely beautiful country, especially compared to the flat area of Texas we live in! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

    1. I can't wait to see it; I have never really been anywhere west of the Mississippi (well, two quick trips to Vegas) to explore and I'm pretty excited to cross so many states and areas off my travel bucket list!

  17. Such a great list! I LOVE Cirque du Soleil and always try to catch them when they're on tour! I actually just came back from camping and tubing trough some rapids yesterday, and a beach day planned for later this month. Love the water balloon fight- haven't done that in years!
