Scrapbooking Room Tour

I finally have my "new" scrapbooking room just the way I want it!   I thought a room tour would be the perfect thing to share today on Share Your... Favorite spot to hang out with the Bolin Bunch.

I used to have my own craft room but I had to give it up for a new heating system when our old one died so we moved my crafting area into our bedroom.  Thankfully we have a HUGE room and there was plenty of room for everything.

A little less than a month ago I was gifted a scrapbooking desk, some storage bins and boxes upon boxes of papers, embellishments, and supplies.  I spent a full week going through each and every item I was gifted and culling through my own supplies organizing everything and getting rid of anything I hadn't used (or wouldn't use).

I am now loving this space and have gotten so many pages made in the last month!

I love this old shoe rack; these bins are open so I can see everything in them at a glance... other than the one bin with my heat gun and stampin' scrub all of these papers and stickers were brand new and given to me!

I just LOVE my new desk so much (my husband and boys even bought me a new light for Mother's day).

On the very top shelf I have all of my stamp pads organized by color and within easy reach.

Each of these cased hold pre-made scrapbooking kits.  I had never purchased any of these myself but they were so pretty and so functional that I could not bring myself to get rid of any of them

Each kit is for a 2 page spread so when I do use them I have to think creatively and make it work for the one page (I rarely have 2 page spreads in our family scrapbooks).

Tucked into my little shelf I have a bin with all my punches, cutters, and a few empty scrapbooks I'm working on putting together.

Each of the shelves in the desk have papers organized by color.  I have white, printed white, pin, printed pink, etc all the way through brown, black and gray too. Most every drawer is filled to the very top!  I could not believe how much paper was gifted to me and so much of it was just beautiful too.

Tucked under my deck behind my chair is a hanging file folder with all my paper scraps; again organized by color.

On my desk top within easy reach I keep some eyelets, my scissors, tape runner, and pens. My Ccricut has it's own corner and I try to keep the middle of the desk clear for working or for putting my Cricut when it's in use.

Across the room these two wooden drawer sets were new and while they are pre-labeled I found that I had to ignore the labels... I have canisters of ribbons across the top and that's where I store my Big Shot too.

In my white bins I have all my 8 1/2x 11" papers, some stamp sets and all my vinyl; sorted by type.

In the wood drawers I have all my adhesives, smaller ribbons, glitter, tools, washi tape, embossing powders, and pens/markers.

The large wooden hutch holds our TV and DVD player but since the drawers were mostly empty I've taken them over too.. In them I have most of my stamp sets, my Cricut cartridges and cutting mats, the scrapbooks and photo albums I'm working on/with, and a few other embellishments I didn't know what else to do with.

It is wonderful to have almost everything right at my fingertips!  And with all my "new" supplies I have rekindled my love of scrapbooking.

  9. Oh my gosh...it always makes me so happy to find another person as crazy as I am with the scrapbooking stuff! I have not had time to sit down and spend lots of time on it lately but I sure do love it. I sold Creative Memories or years and have so much stuff. Dillon is going to be a senior and I really, really want to catch up on his books before graduation!

    1. I sold Stampin Up for a few years when scrapbooking was really starting to take off so I have lots of their supplies but no one beat the strap albums from Creative memories; they were the BEST!
