Our Latest Zoo Trip

We picked a warm sunny day to head to the zoo.  We had heard that the zoo had opened a brand new rainforest themed building and could not wait to check it out.

The building was immense and filled to the brim with sunlight and trees.  Sadly, most of the animals had not yet been brought into their enclosures yet.

We did, however, find that just outside the building they re-did all the gardens and seating and it was truly beautiful.  There were information displays all about the rainforest too and we learned about many more items that we use everyday that come right from our rainforests.

After that we took a walk around the whole zoo to see all the animals.  I got some really amazing shots; it was a nice enough day that many of the animals were up and roaming around.
