My Favorites in Entertainment

It's the first Monday of the month (and the new year!) and I'm linking up with the Blended Blog for another cute question and answer session.   I am really excited to dive into these questions even though I know I am going to have such a hard time answering some of these!

1.  Book(s) I have read multiple times--  It might be easier to list those I don't re-read...  I read a lot and I have no problem with picking up an old favorite.  A few I have read so many times I practically know them by heart include: The Harry Potter Series, The entire Stephanie Plum Series from Janet Evanovich, and The Hunger Games series.

Harry Potter Complete Book Series Special Edition Boxed Set by J.K. Rowling NEW!

2.  Favorite book/author of all time-- You mean I have to pick just one?!?!  Oh boy.... I just can't!  Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Hannah, Elin Hilderbrand, Jodi Picoult, Anita Shreve, Diane Chamberlain... oh the list just goes on and on and on!

3.  Favorite TV show to binge-- Lately I am struggling with this as once I binge a show I pretty much never watch it again!  My favorite that we've binged since ditching cable has been Parenthood.

4.  Favorite new-ish TV show-- A Million Little Things! I was hooked from the very first episode and just fall a bit more in love with it each week.

5.  Favorite movie of all time-- Oh, again there is no way I can pick just one!  There are so many great ones out there.  A few of my favorites include: Notting Hill, How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days, Steel Magnolias, Pay it Forward, Just Go With It, 50 First Dates… and the list goes on and on.

6.  Movie you are looking forward to watching-- Ashes in the Snow.  The book that it's based on: Between Shades of Gray was one of my favorite books from the 52 book challenge I participated in last year.  It is a powerfully moving about one family's time in a KGB Russian work camp in Siberia during World War II.

7.  First concert you attended-- I honestly have only attended two concerts in my life if you don't count kid shows like The Doodlebops (which my sister assures me doesn't count!).  The first concert I can't remember which act was the headlining act but I remember seeing Boys II Men/ TLC/ and one other group I can't remember the name of... when I was in high school. We sat so far away from the stage on the lawn that I more remember who I was with than what we heard or saw.

8.  Ultimate concert (even if it can't happen)-- In case you couldn't tell from number 7, I am not a bit concert goer.  I would love to attend a concert where they have fireworks and awesome special effects as I think that would be neat to see (as long as I knew at least a few of the songs)!

9.  Favorite music artist/ band-- I have a few favorite songs but I don't know all that many artists and bands.

10.  How do you listen?  (Streaming/ CD/ Vinyl)-- I just tossed the last of my CD's last year and mostly we listen to Pandora.

  1. I don't go to many concerts, either. Honestly, I haven't been to one since I had children...which was 14 years ago! I loved Parenthood! I'll have to check out A Million Little Things, though. I've heard a lot about it. Also...LOVE Notting Hill!

    1. My boys have only even been when they were really little.. thankfully as teenagers no one has yet asked to go to a "real" concert! We looked into it this year and I could not believe the ticket prices!! Yikes!

  5. I didn’t realize Between Shades of Grey was being made into a movie. That has the potential to be good. Thanks for linking up with TBB!
