Parmesan Italian Chex Mix Recipe

I have been making our Cheesy Ranch Chex Mix just about every other week without fail and while it is so so good I was getting just a tad sick of it.

I suggested to my boys that we alter the recipe slightly and see what it would be like with Italian seasonings.

They agreed so we got to work assembling all our ingredients:

1/2 box Crispix cereal
2 cups Pretzels
1 full 6.6 ounce package of cheddar Goldfish crackers
2 cups Melba toast rounds broken into pieces
3 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 package Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix

Truth be told I don't measure any of the cereal, pretzel, cracker ingredients-- I just pour them into my largest Pyrex bowl and mix them all up until I have a combination that looks tasty.

Then I melted the butter and prepared to season it all. I poured the melted butter over my cracker mixture and gave it a good stir until most everything was evenly coated then I added in the cheese and Italian dressing mix; again mixing until everything was pretty evenly coated.

I microwaved the bowl for 6 minutes; stopping to stir everything every 2 minutes.

When it was done cooking I turned the bowl over onto a large sheet of parchment paper and spread out the mix to let it cool.

I like to store the Chex mix in an air tight container in our cabinet.

This was such a flavorful mix and I just loved it!
