Love to Learn: Our 5 Favorite Star Wars Books

With May the 4th coming this Friday my boys and I have been thinking about and talking about Star Wars a lot lately.  That got me thinking about all the fun books we've read and I thought I'd share a few of our favorites today.

Jedi Academy-- My two biggest Star Wars fans enjoyed this series of books about a young Padawan who has been accepted into the Jedi Academy.  Complete with all the awkwardness of middle school this fun read takes place in a galaxy far, far away.

Science fair-- OK so this isn't really a Star Wars themed book but the main character has a father that is obsessed with Star Wars and he is being chased by two guys named Darth and the Wookie (Star Wars fans that want to see his father's prized collection of Star Wars paraphernalia). It is a hilarious book and would not be the same without all the Star Wars references.

The Empire Strikes Back; So You Want to be a Jedi?- This re-telling of the Empire Strikes back was a lot of fun with actual Jedi challenges mentioned that my boys just had to try out.  It is part of a series but we didn't enjoy the others nearly as much because they were missing the challenges.

The Strange Case of Origai Yoda -- This is another cute chapter book series that my boys enjoyed.  When Dwight makes an origami Yoga in class no one is that surprised; Dwight has always been a bit of an oddball but when his finger puppet starts doling out sage advice everyone begins wondering how a paper Yoda can know so much.

Choose Your Destiny Book:  A Han & Chewie Adventure-- My boys love choose your own adventure books and what could be better than a fun adventure story with Han and Chewie?
