Fruity French Toast With Hot Fudge

After playing out in the snow one cold winter's day my boys wanted a warm and hearty lunch.  They also told me it should be a special lunch since we had had so much fun hiking and playing in the snow.

They finally settled on french toast with fresh fruit, whipped cream, and hot fudge.. and boy was it ever yummy!

I am such a sucker for chocolate mixed together with berries!  YUM!!

I made up a huge batch of french toast.

To make the french toast I used:

1 load of white bread
6 eggs
2 cups milk
a few dashes of cinnamon

I mixed the egg, milk, and cinnamon together and then quickly dunked each slice of bread into the egg mixture working quickly so the bread didn't get soggy I then put the coated bread on our warm electric griddle.

I cooked each side until they were lightly golden brown and stacked them all up on a plate.

When the french toast was done cooking I set out fresh blueberries, strawberries, butter, maple syrup, cool whip, and some nice warm hot fudge on the table and called the boys to lunch.

We each piled up some toast and added our fixin's.

It almost looked too good to eat!

    1. I'll fully admit that was my youngest son's suggestion and while I almost said no I thought why not? Now I'm not sure I'll ever be able to go back to eating fruity pancakes, waffles, or French toast without it!
