Dark Chocolate Mint Brownies

I was in the mood for a chocolate treat the other day and we just happened to have a box of brownie mix in the cabinet.

I knew I wanted to doctor the mix up a bit so I scrounged around to see what else I could find...

That's when these Dark Chocolate Mint Brownies were born.

To make the brownies you will need:

Brownie mix (or brownie batter from scratch)
Egg(s)/ Water/ Oil the mix calls for
1 cup Andes thin mint pieces
1/2 cup dark chocolate morsels

Following the directions for the brownie mix; I mixed up the batter.  You can use any of your favorite brownie recipes for this too!

I then added 1 cup of Andes Thin Mint Pieces and 1/2 cup of Dark Chocolate Morsels.

Andes Creme De Menthe Baking Chips, 10 oz

Nestle Toll House, Dark Chocolate Morsels, 10 Oz (283 G)

I poured the mix into my prepared 13x9 pan and baked according to the package directions.

Once cool, I cut them into bars.

You may not be able to see the dark chocolate morsels or the mint pieces but you sure can taste them!

These were so delicious and a huge hit with the whole family.

    1. Too funny; I'm like that with anything that has marshmallows in it! I can't stand marshmallows but my kids love them and that way they can have dessert and I don't have to worry about eating it all when they're in bed.
